Nothing much to like
The rooms were all in bad condition. Really unexpected!
Seems like very old rooms or no one has stayed there for some time.
Floors very dusty and hair everywhere. I took the broom and swept the room myself.
Bedsheets were bitten by the sides. By rats or bedbugs, no idea!
Bathroom had a very pungent foul smell, which is why they sprayed the whole room with a terrible air freshener. Really suffocating.
No towels given at first. Soaps and shampoo were given in tiny little bottles, enough to wash your hands!
Coffee and tea powder provided, but no kettle.
No water bottles provided. Only their own drinking water.
Breakfast was not what I expected.
Idli was too soggy.
Food were cooked in a hurry, probably.

1)The hotel staff told his receptionist to book this booking as walk-in booking in Tamil language, thinking we don’t know the language. Although I only book using booking .com from years. They are fraud.
2) After temple darshan, when we called for food . they told its already closed at 10 pm.. although at check in time they told its 10:30 pm closing time. then told us to get Zomato Swiggy food. when we got from food from outside, they told outside food not allowed. and when we told the receptionist told to get swift food and we have recording, they changed story stating we can eat outside food.

later when we reached the hotel and asked for 4 plates to eat food, they told give 400 rs for plate
later when we told call the manager, they told they will give plate. the staff was trying to mint money at night by doing incorrect demands.
3)morning during check out , they harassed us by saying hanger is missing. we told them to check our bags

The Hotel is built by a well known personality with vision and he spent good sum of money but presently managed by some unprofessional set of people. They do not understand the meaning of hospitality. Untrained clumsy looking staff added to the misery to guest. Please ask the owners to change the management asap. in my opinion such poorly managed hotels should not be engaged on your platform. It is not a worn out hotel with 70 rooms. I am afraid the hotel will be ruined if the same management continues for some more time.

we liked the roof top pool. our room was huge. Sandhil in the restaurant was brilliant, as were all the staff. We ate in the restaurant most evenings, the meals were delicious. laundry service was great. all the staff were polite and extremely helpful.
location was a bit of a problem. as there is another Heritage hotel in Maderai. the ric shaw drivers kept taking us there!! even though we showed them the address, photos, Google maps. food was quite expensive.

The bed and comforter were clean and neat. They provided Tea kettle and tea coffee making equipment in the room.
They accommodated me by allowing an early check in, on the condition that I have an early check out.
They exchanged a room when I complained that the room allocated had mould on the ceiling and I could not stay there
The housekeeping team brought me fresh towels, when I complained that the towels were smelling of stale sweat
The hotel disliked me making a reservation through booking.com and chided me for it.
They clearly stated that none of their rooms have a window. They are called executive rooms.
The room allotted to me had mould on the ceiling, the ceiling in the bathroom was broken and looked like it would fall off

The shower nozzles were clogged and no water came through. Soap was of poor quality too.
Their reception area does not have either fans or airconditioning. It was 36 degrees in Madurai

clean on the outside but bathrooms are not clean and smell.. strong urine smell in the room. old fittings of taps etc..!!
Food is not great.. we ordered veg Kadali but it was terrible.. paneer butter masala was ok..

The manager gave us a refund.
Dirty sheets with cigarette burns. Air conditioning didn’t work but at first we were told there was nothing wrong and then the manager admitted there was a problem across the hotel. Exposed electrical wiring looping down next to shower!! Valuables safes in both the original room and the replacement room didn’t work and we didn’t get a key to the safe until too late after we had raised the issue 24 hours before and had had to carry out valuables with us most of the time. The sheets in the replacement room has clearly been slept in and not changed. When we pointed this out, the manager did change the bedding. The hotel asked for full payment on arrival and a sign on reception said they took all major credit and debit cards - but they couldn’t take Mastercard. The Wi-Fi system did not work in the original room nor the replacement one on either Apple or Android devices so we had to go down to the foyer to connect.

The beds were comfortable, room was spacious.
Not enough towels for the 3 guests. The room service was fuzzy about providing enough towels. Bathroom needs a total revamp, toilet seats are small, the fancy shower system needs servicing - water from the shower is stale. Shower rooom needs more lighting.
Breakfast was mediocre for the price.

Nothing is trustworthy. Pl do not suggest this hotel to anyone. No principle and honouring booked commitments. Unilaterally changing the,terms. Absolutely inconvenient.
Everything from reception to room comfort to faulty room locking system and worst exit support.

Services asked for was delayed or not provided in spite of repeated reminders. It could have been due to shortage of staff, the existing staff wasn't able to cope
