This swanky little boutique-style hotel is located a stone's throw away from all of the action in New Orleans-and that's a good thing. Quiet, reserved, and most definitely relaxing, because the Marsh Hotel is situated away from the busy nightlife of the French Quarter (while still being a short, 10-12mins drive from it), I felt I could sleep better and enjoy some downtime.
The option to check in and download your room key via an app had to be one of the greatest perks of the stay-because I travel with work and often don't arrive at my hotels for my time off until late, late in the evening (or in the earliest morning hours), I was still able to head straight to my room, no after hours hassle required. Love this.
I did not need to interact with the front desk staff, but they were always friendly when we crossed paths.
The beds are so comfortable, I extended my stay another evening, just so I would not have to leave that bed. There are so many wonderful things I could say about this space, but honestly, the cozy quiet was my favorite.
The neighborhood is quiet, and while that's an amazing perk in the long run, there were not many spots to walk to to grab a late night snack or drink. UberEats came to the rescue, and I promise, it did not damper my stay. At all!

This property was so nice and clean. This was the best place we have stayed at in New Orleans. Conveniently located, very clean, love the cozy feeling in outside courtyard, and the room is super nice with a comfortable bed! I love the coffee bar connected to the hotel as well! I will definitely stay here again!!
There’s not much street parking near the building.

Location near street car. Close to French Quarter and to Loyola
The area feels insecure at night. One night getting back from downtown with my daughter we saw an incident at the next street with lots of police. We got scared.

Price was good. Bed and bedding were very comfortable. Large TV. Fridge and microwave in room is a plus. Decor is fresh/modern. Short walk to trolley from hotel, giving easy access to much of NOLA.
Room was very small, just enough room to walk around the bed. No desk, only a small (8"?) shelf by the door in our room (300). Chair in room was folding, but with no real place for it to be set up. Same for the folding luggage rack. We spent all our time in the room sitting on the bed as that was really our only option, and we needed to work on our laptops. Had to step over open suitcases. Less than ideal. Not recommended if you want to have a room with a place to spread out or get some work done. Having a meal in the room means eating on the bed, though there is a nice outdoor area IF the weather is permitting (we had thundershowers, ce la vie).
Primary complaint is that the hot water in the shower was undependable, intermittent, at best. Hotel says run the water and wait for it, but after starting a (finally) hot shower, was left with nothing but cold for over 5 mins, in the middle of rinsing shampoo, presumably while someone else in the hotel showered? This happened multiple times in our 4 night stay, so not an anomaly. They really need to improve their hot water situation for their guests to make this a truly wonderful (though small) and enjoyable stay.
Walk to trolley from the hotel felt a little sketchy after dark. Not recommended if traveling alone.

noisy hallway. tiny room. like a cruise ship room. good for 1 person. 1 night was ok.

Great location for the Mardi Gras parades. Good remodel but some things not done well. In our very small shower they had drilled holes into the tile to put a door and then realized it was too small of a space so they added a shower curtain. Likewise the wood floor they made a wrong cut and just installed it instead of taking it out and cutting another piece. These type of things are not what I was expect at this price point.
Too impersonal Check-in was done via a mobile key. Only a guy behind the bar. Never had any housekeeping in our 4 night stay. Understand it’s an expensive time in NOLA but you expect to get some service. There was a sign in our room that said you had to run the shower and the faucet to get hot water. Did this for 5 minutes and no hot water. The next day was better.

My wife and I loved everything about this property from the accommodations even before we arrived to the Marsh Hotel to the accommodations while staying at the Marsh Hotel. Staff was beyond friendly and the service was phenomenal. The property was astonishing and gave a warm vibrant vibe.
The one and only thing I did not like about this property was having a room directly by the ice machine. Not enough to take points away as I am sure if asked they would have given us a different room. The ice machine was somewhat disturbing as the ice fell all so often.

Marsh Hotel is a gem with modern decor. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and kind. Special thanks to Joseph! I would definitely stay at Marsh Hotel in the future!
Marsh Hotel does not have a parking lot. However, I was able to park directly across from the hotel.

The patio of the hotel was nice. The coffee from the attached shop was good. Everything was decorated well. The beds were really comfortable and it was quiet. Everything was very clean.
It would've been nice if there was a gym. We didn't have to interact with anyone at the hotel for check-in due to the mobile key available on your phone which worked for us but some people might not like. You could get a physical key if desired but not after 9 pm. It's near some very nice areas of the city, but also bordering on some less safe areas of the city so you just need to pay attention where you're walking around in the area. The bathroom was rather small.

Everything was clean and minimal.
If you have any work to do on your laptop, this place is not ideal for in room WFH. I wasn’t really aware there’s no front desk staff. You can hear just about every foot step your neighbors take. If there was an elevator, I had no idea where it was.
