Property is wonderful, better than the photos. We all had our own space and meals together. Plenty of refrigerators and bathrooms for our needs. The kids did a lot of fishing on the dock. Great vacation.

The property is very wooded and private. Having a big family with 10 noisy, boisterous kids this was a big plus. The downside is ,at times ,there were biting flies. Lots of rain so that is hard to predict. Everyone had a blast on the sandy beach! Lots of civil engineering projects were constructed.The house was well equipped and big enough to have a " kid zone" and adult area. We loved the layout. Good communication with Cindy of the was a concern and they were immediately on it. Will definately come back.

We stayed here again for a board gaming retreat weekend with a dozen people plus two kids and a dog. The property is great for large groups like this, with tons of different spaces for people to spend time, plus varied rooms for couples, singles, and families. Everything is super well maintained and stocked, with excellent kitchens and storage. We will be coming back again next year.

Another wonderful stay. The house is impeccably clean, check in and check was super smooth, and there's plenty of space for our group. Highly recommend the lodge.

This is our 2nd year staying here for our Families Christmas. We had 20 people third year, we had plenty of room. The Kitchen is well stocked for cooking needs, Also we had great plenty of room for all of our vehicles, we recommend this property.

Lots of rooms and lots of bathrooms! The main kitchen, dining, living space is great, and the beach is nice and sandy. If you are looking for a relaxing place this is great.

We had a wonderful stay at this spacious property in Minong WI. There was plenty of room for 23 of us, ranging in age from twin one year olds to my 94 year old mom! We loved the 6 bathrooms, although the towels and washcloths were in short supply. Please note that the Loft East bedroom has no real window coverings on the big window. We really couldn’t use that room because of the morning light. Also, the Loft West is open to below. It was a little darker in the morning but could hear all of the comings and goings on the main level. We spent a lot of time at the sandy beach. We rented a pontoon from the Main Store in Minong. They dropped it off and picked it up at the closest boat landing. They were extremely easy to work with. The water is very shallow and clear for a long way out but by the time it was deep enough to swim, or tread water like my mom likes to do, it was very weedy. But perhaps that was because it was August. Be aware that at this time of year the bugs are out in full force, especially the no-see-ums. The great fire pit was one of the highlights. We had a campfire every night along with a guitar and singing, bring your own firewood. The grill is charcoal, bring your own. Even though there are plenty of other places on the lake we felt completely secluded, safe and private. The parking accommodated all. All in all, great week!

8 adults and 3 young grandchildren had a wonderful time on Gilmore Lake. The sand beach and shallow water that goes way past even the dock made for a great water playground. They provided many water toys so we never had to leave the property. The kitchen was well stocked so could easily cook for 11.

This is our second year at the property and we’ve already booked for next year. The cabin is beautiful and clean, with a well stocked kitchen. We travel with several families and lots of teenagers. There is plenty to do for everyone-boating, fishing, bags, paddle boarding, kayaking, frog catching, hanging out by the campfire. The cabin had everything we needed and more. The property manager is excellent to work with. We are looking forward to 2024!!

The house was spacious enough for our 23 people (5 families). For the kids, the beach was sandy and shallow, fishing was great, and the property was clean and well maintained. Overall, a great property!

Property was clean, and very well equipped for our large group, 14, and we could have fit a few more. Owner/property manager was very responsive to email and text. Easy access to activities in the area. Ten Stars.

We enjoyed a wonderful family reunion week at this large comfortable cabin in 2023. We were twelve adults 18 - 80 years old, and one young teen. Two dogs. The house is wonderful. Perfectly clean on arrival. As described, except note that the upper level suite on the east side is open to below. It feels private/ the half wall separates the spaces visually, but there is no sound barrier. The lower level was perfect for our young adults to have their own space. The fully stocked kitchen downstairs with two additional refrigerators was such a help to have. The bedrooms were well set up. Note the two bedrooms on the upper floor/west side were oddly missing privacy curtains. The views are spectacular but would’ve liked something more than sheers. The lawn between the cabin & the lake was long & a nice area for a campfire or setting up a (no stakes) badminton set or the like. Note, though, that it is a septic field and when there wasn’t a breeze the smell was noticeable. There’s a gentle slope down to the lake. The beach was what you’d expect from a north woods inland lake - a short stretch of sand and then healthy lake vegetation. It did make for some amusing frog searching & a snake sighting or two. The provided kayaks and other float equipment were in good shape and much appreciated. We rented a pontoon from the Main Store (at owner’s recommendation) and the rental was flawless and the boat in great shape. Overall, a wonderful week and would come again.

Perfect family vacation with plenty of beach & water time. We had to whole family ages 1-65. The house was better than we ever expected. They had all the cookware & equipment we needed. The lake was perfect, a beach front where the kids could wade out past the dock before the water got deep. 2 paddle boards and 2 kayaks, floating toys, lawn chairs & life jackets. The kids caught fish off the end of the dock and there was plenty of room for games in the yard. Bed rooms, beds and 6 bathrooms, it was a perfect setup. It was AWESOME!! Dave & Jean

The property had everything, great fishing, great spot for 4 wheeling, trails right out the door. Plenty of indoor room and outdoor room for everyone to gather and eat and play games. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for the perfect spot for a group to gather and want their to be enough room for everyone. Beautiful scenery, and very peaceful.

House was very well appointed and had lots of room for bigger groups. Plenty of bedroom/bathroom space and areas for people to find their own place to do things. It was a wonderful stay for our group. Thank you!

Very large and accommodating place

Lakes & Trails Lodge was perfect size and setting for our family Christmas celebration. Fireplaces were cozy. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of space for large groups to spread out. Only disappointment was the access to the lake in the winter. A long walk down the trail on edge of yard. Would have been nice to have it "groomed" for easier walking, especially for little ones. Snowmobile was advantageous for us. Overall, GREAT place. We plan to reserve it for next year!!

We stayed here for our annual Fall Family/Friend Trip. There were 16 of us; adults, teenagers, and 12+ children. This place was more than amazing! The drive itself there in the Fall was beautiful and the scenario at the house was spectacular! The property was clean and well-maintained. We had a couple of people allergic to pets and even though the property allows them there were no issues as it is cleaned very well. The house was able to accommodate all the cooking, playing games, and space for everyone to relax! The house had everything needed to cook for the 16 of us and boy did we do a lot of cooking!! We decided that this is our go-to house for our annual trip you can not do any better. Thank you, Cindy, for everything you were great! Highly recommended.

Awesome place for the whole family or a larger group, has great amenities for everyone from corn hole, water activities, grilling, outdoor activates, and fireplace.

Our families had a really great week at Lake and Trails Lodge! Plenty of space and great set-up! Having extra refrigerators was really a lifesaver. We did lots of boating and tubing, and played lots of games at the kitchen table. Only one downside was we had some family with mobility issues and the slope down the beach was just a little bigger than what we anticipated. Overall a really fantastic place to stay!

Our group of 11 truly enjoyed our week here. Fantastic common spaces to gather and just enough quiet places to escape the hustle and bustle of a big family event. It's a great good weather and not so good weather place with lots of options to entertain all. Bring your yard games, there's TONS of outdoor space!

We stayed here with multiple families to celebrate our Dad’s Birthday. The house was more than large enough to accommodate five families. We all had our own bathroom which was a perk. The property was clean and well maintained. The lake shore was so nice and we enjoyed a lot of lake time on a quiet lake. Cindy was wonderful and very responsive. I would highly recommend!

I echo all the positive things mentioned in the rest of the comments. We had 17 in our group ranging in age from 2 to 75. The lower level was especially nice for the two families with little ones, for napping and early bedtimes. Also the little early risers did not wake the rest of the house. The additional kitchen in the lower level is also a plus along with the 3 refrigerators and another refrigerator/freezer.

Our family of 14 had a great time at this home. Lots of room to spread out and allowed for napping of little ones. Beach was nice, shallow and sandy. I would advise water shoes due to the shells - and that may be just this time of year. Home is well equipped with games for indoors and life jackets and paddle boards for outside.

This place has so much to offer, all of the amenities are fabulous. Plenty of room for everyone to still have their own space, but great gathering areas for everyone to be together creating memories and having lots of laughs. We enjoyed our week with lots of time spent playing games, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing and just all around enjoying the beautiful weather and the great outdoors.

We had an amazing experience at this cabin! The property was very clean, and could easily accommodate 17 people aged 11-72. It’s a definite bonus to have 3 refrigerators and a full freezer. The living room and kitchen area are great for a large group. The beach is very nice and the lake is beautiful. The yard is private with a nice garage to store fishing and beach supplies. We will definitely be back!
