It's a great place, a great location, and the hosts are very helpful. The room is nice and cozy, it has everything you need. And there are lots of places to eat nearby.

The bathroom needs some additional drainage. The floor outside the shower was always wet.

Check in was very easy which was important since we arrived late at night. Staff was generally quite helpful and professional. There was free bottled water, which was good because as you may expect the tap water isn’t drinkable. There’s a fridge as well as a tiny kitchen area with all you may need on the road, including coffee, sugar, oil, stove, pots and pans. We had good WiFi and the hot water never ran out! It’s close to the main bus station - ADO. Clean towels were provided which were changed once every 5 days. This wouldn’t normally bother us but nothing could dry in that tiny humid room. Smart TV if that’s something you care about.

We stayed in apartment/studio/room 4. It had a single window looking over the little balcony of the ground floor flat so neither we, nor the people downstairs had much privacy. The window is also facing a wall, so there was literally no natural light coming in despite the big window. As there was no sunlight the room was constantly humid and the clothes wouldn’t dry, not even swim suits. Sheets weren’t great in this sort of humid hot room, which you can’t really air out. Some other people have commented about the stairs - yes, there is no elevator so if you have heavy luggage it’s not great, but it’s managable. There was also this open air tub our window overlooked and we saw a girl fill it up just so she can get inside, take a couple of selfies of her legs with a book and empty it. So there is the possibility that you’ll come across that sort of person there.

La habitación está bien equipada y está ubicada en una zona agradable del centro de Cancún, de fácil acceso a los autobuses para la playa.

Debería de haber algún lugar para colgar las ropas mojadas de playa.

Het bed was super comfortabel, heerlijk matras en kingsize. Jammer dat ik er maar één nachtje verbleef en zo laat aankwam, ik kan dus niet zoveel zeggen verder, maar ik had graag een paar nachten erbij geboekt als het niet vol zat.

Het synthetische beddengoed is wat mij betreft een tegenvaller.

We had a short but very enjoyable stay at Casa Ikal - it was very simple to get to from the airport and communication about check-in was all very clear and easy, despite us having a late flight. Decor was very cool and was nice to have Netflix! Plenty of coffee shops and cafes nearby.
