The location is good for either Bawtry or Doncaster.

It must have been 40 degree celcius when we arrived, all the heating was on absolute max - biggest problem was with the single room, as the side of the bed touches the only radiator in the room, and you couldn't even touch the radiator it was that hot (let alone sleep in a bed touching it) - we tried to turn the radiator down, but it only has 2 settings (well, it supposedly has 5, but only 2 things happen), you can choose between 'artic cold' (i.e. off) or 'nuclear' (i.e. melting your skin) - as soon as you turn the valve beyond 'off', it jumps straight to 'nuclear' no matter how small an increment you move - so, we had no heating in the single room, making it too cold for our son, and essentially unusuable in winter. The host wasn't in the local area to hand over the keys as they said in their message on Booking.com they would (only found out when WE messaged them on the day) - so they left the keys on the table and the back door open - we had stayed before for 1 night (although they'd forgotten, so don't get a free pass), not a big deal you'd think, however literally everything (including all the lights) are operated by remote control, so it took us ages to work out again how everything worked. Everything being on remote control is just a hassle, even by the end of the stay you are still messing around trying to figure out how it all works. Furthermore, we were met by a charger and mass of cables dumped on the kitchen worktop - which along with not meeting us, left feeling they obviously hadn't bothered to get things ready. They've attached little metal cages (like the ones you put on the walls in showers to hold shampoo bottles etc.

Amazing decor and attention to detail walking distance to a great choice of pubs and restaurants. Great hosts who were very friendly and at the end of the phone.

The property is cosy as it says and has all you could need. We stayed for one night and will be coming back to this one. It was a gem of a find and would recommend not just the property but location as well

Cosy by name, cosy by nature. The cottage had everything you need. It was warm, clean, beautifully furnished. Hosts were really responsive and friendly. It was 5 minutes walk from the high street.
