This hostel really exceeded our expectations! Such a good price for simple and spacious rooms with nice breakfast and exceptionally nice and friendly hosts. Freddy has so much of local knowledge and is willing to go an extra mile to help with everything you need. We felt really at home which was so much needed after months of travelling. Would highly recommend this hostel to anyone going to Monteverde!

I highly recommend this accommodation. The house is located near the center. A short walk from the house is a good restaurant and supermarket. The family that runs it is very nice. Finally, accommodation in which everything really worked, because the owner maintain the building very well. Room was spacious and clean with hot shower. Breakfast was delicious, the owner made me a different meal every morning. They also have two very cute dogs and cat. I traveled alone and I felt very safe. They can also arrange transportation/tours for you and give you advices about area. The owner speaks good English. I felt like a part of the family and it was hard for me to leave. very clean, good homemade breakfast, walkable to the center of santa elena (although some parts of the walk are the side of the road with no sidewalk)

a pair of airpods went missing from our hotel room… the owners said it’s only them that have access to the room, and that it’s never happened before. we always locked the door with a key while leaving the room (the door shuts closed but we always took the time to additionally lock it with a key), and on a handful of occasions we when we came back from tours at the end of the day to find it unlocked.

Freddy, the owner was very nice and helpful. He helped us get transport and arrange our activities. A very friendly host. The cleaning was good and comfortable beds. A really nice hotel and especially for the price. Would definitely recommend.

Low noise side street of Santa Elena, about 10min walk to city centre. Very good price for private room and beautyfull view close sun on the pacific ocean :-) Owner is so helpfull but looks like very tired from probably work.

I see bus on internet to Puntarenas and instead of 5,30 it goes at 7,30 :-( I wake up so soon and then wait on bus station.

Breakfast great

First of all, when ordering a room for one, I actually got a room for three (with three beds), but the price was like for one person. It was very clean, the room was cleaned and tidied every day. The bed and pillow were very comfortable. The service was very polite and good. Breakfast was always on time (at the time I set, but at the insistence of the hosts) and delicious. The hotel is located 4-5 minutes walk from the center, which makes it incredibly quiet and comfortable for a holiday in the mountains. I highly recommend it.
