Sin duda el mejor hotel en el que me he alojado durante mis 15 días en Nepal. Simplemente genial! Lleguamos a Kawasoti con la idea de vivir una experiencia verdaderamente local de Nepal y eso es justo lo que encontramos. El hotel está situado a unos 5 minutos en tuktuk de la carretera principal, Deepak, el propietario nos vino a recoger para ayudarnos con el equipaje. Tanto él como su mujer Sita han sido gran parte del disfrute de estos días. Tienen 2 hijos adolescentes y un perro. Nos acogieron tan bien que nos sentimos parte de la familia desde el minuto uno :) La comida muuuy rica, especialmente los pancakes!! La habitación y baño estan tan limpias que no parece que estés en Nepal haha! El colchón fantástico, sire acondicionado, buena conexión wifi… Las vistas a los campos de arroz desde la cama transmiten una calma difícil de encontrar en otros lugares. Deepak organizó planes para nosotros cada día. Fuimos de safari con un 4x4 y tuvimos los rinocerontes a dos metros comiendo del matorral! Increible! Vimos cocodrilos… nos faltó ver tigres, pero será señal de que habrá que volver! También fuimos a hacer rafting y visitamos comunidades indígenas. Bailamos todos los días en diferentes festivales, hay tan pocos turistas en Kawasoti que la gente te recibe con una alegría extrema. Nos gustó que nadie trató de vendernos nada durante estos días. Un día ayudamos a los locales a recoger arroz y aprendimos como funciona todo el proceso desde la plantación hasta que llega el arriz al plato. Conocimos ministros y cantantes famosos… una experiencia de película la verdad! Cada noche tuvimos interesantes conversaciones disfrutando del fuego que Deepak nos preparó. Si buscas una experiencia de Nepal distinta a lo que son los trekkings, disfrutar de un entorno rural, muy local, tranquilo, con distintas actividades de aventura, The Glass House Hotel es sin duda una opción que recomendamos al 100% Ah! Y como ya hemos dicho… lo mejor la familia!! Esta gente enamora!

Staying with Deepak and Sita and the staff really was amazing. This was a super successful hostel/hotel in Kathmandu which has relocated to a hidden gem of a town in the center of Nepal. The area will definitely give you a real experience of Nepalese life outside of the big city! Sita is an *amazing* chef and the food at the restaurant is very well priced!

The breakfast was good but could have been a little better. They prepare every food after the order so the service was slow but overall it was indeed an amazing experience so a big thank you to Glasshouse team... Will visit soon there...

Nicest Host we have met in Nepal ! They organised a BBQ for us in the evening with bonfire and music. We spend all night together chatting. The food is awesome, the rooms are super comfortable and clean, the environment is really calm and relaxing. Amazing and unforgettable experience, you absolutely need to come here on your Nepal trip !

Absolutely great location with beautiful views, lovely guest house in tranquility surroundings with the most friendly family, restaurant food was delicious at normal price. You can also book treks from the family for a very low cost, I visited Devchuli Peak which is a days trek and the waterfall near the property three to four hours out with a stay at the waterfall, both very much worth seeing and achieving. There are alot of other treks you can choose from, locals around are very friendly

The stay with Deepak and Sita was wonderful! During our time we ate very delicious food. The breakfast was especially noteworthy (sweet or veg. crepe). The lovely furnished room was very clean and has a very comfortable bed. Deepak organized a varied program for us: - we did a walkig safari in the national park (compared to other providers the offer was very cheap / 2000Rs guide + 500Rs entrance fee per person) - we had a local tour and got insights into the authentic village life and explored the nature. - we cooked Nepali food together and had a barbecue together - we made a movie evening together Thank you Sita and Deepak for staying with you! We had great fun and laughed a lot with you - it felt like home! We will be back :)

Location, food and familiar staff

Welcoming, hospitable and friendly owners, Sita and Deepak did everything to make me feel at home and make sure I had a great time. Room: The private room was super comfortable, had AC and was equiped with modern amenities. The location is super quiet, I rarely slept that good! Food: Amazing freshly cooked nepali recipes from nearby producers. The included breakfast is amazing! Try the banana pancakes!! Things to do: get a tour of the village and learn about the local people, the ethnic groups and their traditions. Safari walk to spot the local one horned rhinoceros. Swim at a nearby waterfall to refresh yourself! Cooking classes to learn how to make local dishes like Dal Baht and Momos. This was one in a lifetime experience and I will surely remember it!
