The accommodation is well-kept and the interior is well-thought of. Such a lovely location, had an awesome view of the ocean. Definitely great value for money.

Beautiful modern and amazing location. Staff were all super helpful, loved the bar and lounge area and dinner at the restaurant was lovely.

Bright, new modern hotel with good public spaces. Didn’t use the restaurant or pool

Our room 401 had a greasy cooking smell every time the kitchens were in operation - morning awoke to the smell of toast & frying, and in the evening the smell of chips & meat. I mentioned this 3 times but no offer to move us or provide air purifier/diffuser. Four floors up, this is obviously an aircon / airflow issue. Spoiled our stay. Also, housekeeping was a bit haphazard - first day came back to our room at 4pm, still not done. Second day a knock on the door at 9:45am, i asked to give us 30 mins, then came back to the room at 3pm, still not done. We were in the room at 4pm when they arrived and we asked for more tea bags & milk before we went out. Wasn’t provided. The staff were lovely but I’m not sure what the system/routine was?! It was an expensive 3 nights for us, a lovely big room but totally spoiled by the cooking smells.

The restaurant was disappointing. A friends fish was dry and inedible. No sides came out. The desserts were left deteriorating on the server. Staff forgot them. My lamb was no more than 100grms. Steaks were great. Entrees great. Wines good.

Staff were attentive without being intrusive, and all were super enthusiastic and couldn’t have been more helpful.

The restaurant was too popular we couldn’t get a table either we should have booked earlier😂😂😂

Location, location. Perfectly positioned on the bay. The food was delicious and the staff pleasantly helpful. The beds were fabulously comfortable! Loved our stay!

The hotel was clean and new. The room was as advertised and expected. Our kids enjoyed using the pool.

There needs to be more space for hanging up used towels, things like shower caps, sanitary bags, bigger rubbish bins, and teaspoons in the room. All small details which would make things easier and more environmentally friendly.

We loved the hotel. It's very nice and the location is great.

Right on the beach Great spot for a cocktail or beer Food was superb especially the crayfish omelette and clam linguine though just a tad more pasta it would’ve been a bit more substantial and then be able to soak up the delicious sauce!! Staff super friendly

We didn’t have breakfast. The rooms were well appointed other than having no rubbish bin in the room other than the bathroom. Very clean too.

Having Māori names everywhere with no English explanation. I had to Google the words. Also dining in your restaurant was a disappointment. To be told there was no crayfish on the menu that night…hello we are in Kaikōura! Also offering Monkfish when you could have used fish with much more flavour ie Blue Cod. Also the price of your drinks was exorbitant. $16 for a tap beer is well over priced. You are obviously catering for the overseas tourist and not your local community (NZ).

Views from the ocean front room were very nice. Hotel is new, clean, and modern.

The check-in experience was a bit awkward (I felt a bit shamed for having used booking.com) and the restaurant (food and service) was disappointing.

The location was stunning. The room was clean. The bathroom was gorgeous!

Having a microwave would have been amazing just for quick heat meals with kids. It would have been lovely to have a vacuum partway through our stay. (But probably not an issue had we only stayed a couple nights.)

Too expensive for the room, which was small, involved steps and we were all located a room right near the pool Area with associated noise despite the hotel being quiet with many rooms available The manager was rude and dismissive. I was travelling with a person with high needs. Staff offered no assistance with luggage. Only parking was on street, including to pack/ unpack car

I have a room with Seaview over the Pacific Ocean, very leisure lounge to enjoy my reading with a cup of tea.

No compendium! Only saw it was on tv with no instruction for anything. Not everyone is tech savvy especially older people. Tv kept glitching every 20 seconds with internet! No wine glasses. No ironing board or iron. Not enough places to hang towels. Bathroom door was slider which goes flush into wall so very hard to pick out of wall to close. Out all day from 9.30am and back at 3.15pm on Thursday and room still wasn’t serviced. I had to ring and ask for it to be done! They didn’t replenish supply of toilet paper and sugar so had to get some. No wardrobe for clothes just clothes hangers on wall which is not enough if staying for a few days. Water kettle is not enough water to even fill 2 mugs. Was very disappointed considering how much the room rate was for balcony Seaview! At least the beds and pillows were wonderful. I think for the quality hotel it is, these things could be sorted easily especially the hard copy compendium as it’s the first thing people look for in their room!

Fabulous location, with great staff. We had an 1hr 30 min wait for our dinner the night we arrived; which was a long time later at night when we were hungry already; this was on Jan 5th. The staff give us free dessert; which was great. Cheers, Kay
