We knew the area quite well because we are from CT and visit Westbrook the CT shoreline often. We definitely like the surrounding areas.

WE ARE BEST FRIENDS AND SEASONED TRAVELERS, BOTH OF RETIREMENT AGE, AND WANTED TO SHARE OUR GENUINE AND UNBIASED REVIEW BASED ON OUR PERSONAL EXPERIENCES AT THIS RENTAL PROPERTY. 1) Difficult parking in narrow driveway and narrow street to enter property. We had 2 vehicles, which made it quite challenging because the houses were so close together, and there were fences alongside the narrow driveway between the neighbors. 2) Very steep stairwell that was never expected. It was a two best friends get-away week, and I had to rely on my best friend to carry my luggage and other belongings up these steep stairs to the second floor. We anticipated a single family rental, and this property was on the 2nd floor of a converted 2 family home with people living downstairs on the first floor. Being permanently disabled after cancer treatments, all the steep stairs were very problematic. I also had difficulty breathing due to the humidity and steep stairwell to the upper level. NOT ACCEPTABLE! 3) We were 2 best friends meeting up for a week of peace, solitude, and rest. We expected 2 separate adult bedrooms as noted in the owner's representation of this property on booking.com. My friend got there first and got the room with the queen sized bed. I got there later on in the day and was shocked that my room was made for children with fixed iron bunk beds that could not be taken apart into 2 single beds. I am a 68 year old with post cancer disabilities. THIS SURPRISE SLEEPING ARRANGEMENT WAS UNACCEPTABLE AND DID NOT MEET ANY ADA ACCOMMODATION REQUIREMENTS THAT WERE EXPECTED FROM THE DESCRIPTION AND PICTURES OF THE RENTAL PROPERTY ON BOOKING.COM. The property managers told my best friend that I could just sleep on the small pull out bed in the small common space kithen/living/dining area.
