Book our night stay through Expedia for our wedding. I booked the room under my name and when my (now) husband went to check in they told him that he would have to book a new room since we missed the check in time. They told him that Expedia would refund the money so he booked a new room. Contacted Expedia and they were told that they don’t do refunds. So we are out the two night stay and had to book another room. Unprofessional and throwing the responsibility on others. The feel of the hotel is an older Las Vegas hotel, needs some updating and smelt of stale smoke.

Where do I start. First time in Claremont to drop off kid in college. Chose this hotel for the quality associated with Marriott name. But it is worst than any hotel I have ever stayed in my 40 years of travel. The duvet was without cover. It was sandwiched between two bedsheets. Airconditioner had its own mind and wouldn't follow the temp setting. The room did not have basic amenities like hand soap next to sink. Imagine having to go to shower each time you washed your hands. Fixed bottles in shower like a 3 star MOTEL, which the staff didn't bother to check for contents. No tissues either. Very poor quality towels. On the 4th day, room wasn't cleaned or attended by housekeeping. REASON - they were short staffed. The front desk sent a very angry housekeeping staff with towels at 6 pm. He was verbally aggressive with threatening body language. He backed off and left as soon as I pulled out my phone to record him. THIS IS A DISASTER WAITING TO HAPPEN. This hotel is old and disgrace to Marriott brand. The elevators are operating with temporary certification indicating serious safety issues. One elevator has a sign restricting it to max. 2 people. The restaurant was closed for first 3 days. You had to place online order and pickup your food. Not even room service. I plan to visit Claremont atleast 3 times a year for next 4 years but will never again go near this hotel. There are better hotels in Claremont.

Very overpriced for what you get. The only reason to stay here is the proximity to the Fairplex. We were there for a soccer tournament so the location was convenient but everything else was a disappointment. The carpet & upholstered furniture in the room was dirty. Bathroom was outdated. Beds were uncomfortable. Pool was cloudy. Staff was friendly but I would not stay here again at this price point.

There was a running of Loud machines. We thought the AC was on. Finally we figured out it was outside right at our window. So loud. Couldn't sleep well. The pillows were so flat. Mattress was very uncomfortable as well. Poor staff in bar and restaurant was only 1 person. Was overwhelmed. Didn't get people's orders correctly. Manager was walking around, Not helping. Vale staff was on it. Had our car ready and waiting for us. Front desk customer service was great.

The whole experience was excellent from start to finish. Check in staff were top class. Bar staff were great. The whole environment is exactly what you’d expect from this brand. Our room had a balcony and was basically a small apartment which was great for us as we were travelling with a child so we could put him down and close the door and use the living area and balcony without disturbing him. The pool area was perfect for us. Note, I marked a 3 star for the area around the property. There is nothing nearby, not even a convenience store to grab essentials if you forget something. So you’ll need to drive about 15 minutes to a supermarket. Don’t let this deter you though, fantastic hotel with fantastic staff.

Great stay! Valet gentleman was very courteous and professional. Pool and grass area was beautiful!! Comfortable beds and spacious rooms for the price!!

There were hairs in the sink and bathtub which made me wonder how clean the room really was.

I reserved for a two double bed but instead got a two single bed. I was not satisfied but overall the hotel was clean and comfortable.

We visited the LA county fair, the property is conveniently located next to fair entrance.

I’m in love with rooms that have separate areas to watch tv. The only complaint I have is the bed did not smell fresh. We both took a shower before we went to bed.

The staff is very nice, the hotel environment is beautiful, the room is big and clean, I like it so much.

Clean property. Friendly and accommodating staff. Ample parking. We came for the LA county fair and it was perfect. 2min walk to the fair entry. Went to the fair in the morning, the pool and hotel in the afternoon and back to the fair at night. Very convenient since we’re traveling with 3 small kids. We only live 30 min away but this was a perfect staycation spot.
