Breakfast was good, staff very pleasant and helpful. Area a bit sketchy but just don't go out walking at night. Close to airport, shuttle would have been icing on the cake.

Convenient location if you are traveling through Thunder Bay. Hotel was good. Nice breakfast service. Accommodated pets well.

Was convenient location for our activities in the area. The desk clerk on duty when we checked in seemed to have some difficulty understanding that we wanted to put the room charges for our two rooms on our friends credit card and that resulted in spending a lot of time at the desk and some problems on check out.

The front check in person stunk of body order
We got in late from a long drive he was not pleasant it was like I was bothering him to check in

Beds were comfortable, bathroom was clean.
BUT: the room had a strong chemical industrial cleaner smell, like the carpet was soaked with industrial strength cleaner. - presumably to mask some worse smell. Had to open the small window, turned on the bathroom fan, but smell was still there.
Also, the breakfast was fine, but the breakfast room was dark, dank and stuffy. I tried to open the big sliding door to let some fresh air in - but one of the staff quickly ran to prevent me from opening it and just told me - "we don't open that". Overall, I would not stay here again.

Check in easy. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lots of dining nearby within walking distant. Only problem there was road work being done and the street and make it difficult to get into and out of.

Staff was great and helpful. We arrived early and one room wasn’t ready. They were great and switched us to a room that was, even though we arrived before check in. Unfortunately we found a blood stain on our comforter.

We stayed here for one night during our move across the country.
We liked the breakfast. We are a fan of the classic bagels, cereal, toast, yogurt, etc. Options, so it was perfect for us. We also had two cats with us and had no problem getting a room with them.
We were travelling in a U-Haul and got broken into the night before at a different hotel, so we wanted to park in an area at this hotel with security cameras in case something happened. Unfortunately, we had to park out back, which I understood, but there were no cameras which made us a bit uncomfortable.
I’m someone who needs to know and see that things are clean to feel comfortable. The hallway had lots of stains in the carpet which made me feel grossed out. Our room had a smell that was like a cleaner, but it was not a good smell and almost made me feel worse about the cleanliness of the room. My boyfriend, however, is not fussy and felt the hotel was appropriately cleaned, so it certainly depends on your standards.
Overall, our stay was good. Aside from my anxiety about how clean it was and the parking, I was satisfied.

There was only 1 staff person at the front who was on the phone for 10 min before speaking with us.
The rooms were not very clean. The screen door fell off. The windows looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in months. Not a great experience, especially for what they charged.

The bed was comfortable, the room was clean with most of the amenities, the breakfast was good. The location was close to the main highway and it was closed to shops, restaurants etc.. the hotel is old and could need a little renovation.

The Comfort Inn is a reliable, safe, and pleasant hotel where you can enjoy clean, sound-proofed rooms with comfortable beds, well-stocked room amenities, and a good complementary breakfast at reasonable rates. We've been staying at Comfort Inns across Canada for years and find the one in Thunder Bay up to its usual standards. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great area with amenities in close proximity. ie; restaurants and big retail stores. Location is very accessible for those who dont wish to drive within the city.

View of animals pooping. Parking situation - hard to get a spot at all especially on weekends brutal. Overpriced. Room dirty under beds - pet hair everywhere. Overpriced.

I use to be able to request a ground floor room when booking online, can’t seem to now, this trip wasn’t as enjoyable as I should have advocated for myself and requested ground floor, I have knee issues and am home and in pain, others either was a good stay, staff is friendly
