This is a decent hotel. We evacuated during Hurricane Milton and it was fine for the 2 nights we stayed.

We stayed at the Comfort inn and Suites during the Hurrican Helene evacuation. We chose this hotel due to it's close and easy to drive location to the Tampa airport without being in the downtown area and also not directly near the airport. The location for us was perfect. All of the staff we encountered there were extremely helpful and kind. The room appeared to be freshly updated with new flooring and paint, possibly a new counter in the bathroom. There were still portions of the room that were dated such as the bathtub and the a/c. The a/c worked and kept the room cool enough but didn't really circulate air that well. It was very stuffy in the room soon after the air would turn off. The one thing I will say is that when we walked into the room it smelled as if we had just jumped into a pool of air freshener. The perfumy scent was overwhelming. It was also in the hallways of the hotel. If you are sensitive to scents or perfumes then this is not the hotel for you. I almost asked to check out after walking in, thankfully the scent seemed to dissipate after the first day. I did notice that, since we checked out straight from that hotel to go home, our clothing and other soft items smelled like the perfumy scent of the rooms. We spent a good amount of time at the pool which was well maintained. The free breakfast was your standard free breakfast, but my kids did get a kick out of the make your own waffle situation. Overall, for the price, this hotel was great.

Wonderful breakfast, easy parking and lovely pool/fountain area.
Only downside that we saw was a few body hairs in the tub, which makes us question how thorough the rooms are cleaned.

The pool was close the three days I was there no phone working in my room .. then during my test fire alarm went off twice scared me half to death .. management sd he called every room .. couldn’t hv my phn hasn’t work sent up repair on my last day couldn’t be fix .. but after. Ask for my money back they gv me a day back .. powdered eggs horrible .. ice machine was bottom was missing filthy .. so I did use ice machine.. but had a nice patio

I booked 2 Queen Bed room and was given a 1 Queen Bed room. Then was giving a 2nd room when i went to that room there were Guest Already in there. Went back to the front desk to find out they mixes my reservation with someome else this is at 1:00am at this time.

To start off the hotel has a funny smell, under the bed was never clean and on top of all that had roaches in the bathroom. When I told the young lady in the front desk she didn’t even seem bother. All she said contacted Expedia.

The sofa looked like it needed a steam clean. The water would not go down shower drain and beds were not comfortable besides those things the hotel smelled clean and looked clean. The staff was nice and friendly. It was an ok hotel for a short visit.

We were in room 203 the bathroom door would get stuck also the tub was not draining properly.
We wet down for breakfast at 9am there were no pastry’s and bold coffee was cold regular coffee was almost empty had to wait for more.

Our room was very quiet and clean. The small refrigerator was nice to put out cold drinks in.
Breakfast was very nice. Someone was always cleaning up and replenishing the food. Very friendly staff.

I felt as though I was walking back into the 90's. It seemed like they hadn't updated anything in decades!! The water never got hot, so we took room temp showers, with cold periods throughout. We could deal with the old decor if we could at LEAST take hot showers. The bed was decently comfortable. And I did enjoy the breakfast. I was able to eat a blueberry waffle with coffee with french vanilla creamer, so that was nice. But I don't think I'll be staying at the hotel again....

I would like for the to clean the rooms better, the bathroom floor was full of hair and the tub you could see all the black stuff. When you shower the water go down very slow. After that everything else fine great staff membre.

We had a great stay! The fridge was leaking so we told the front desk. Food was good and hot. Room was very comfortable and roomy. Bed was amazingly soft and comfortable!!!

I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Terrible smell all around the hotel, including the elevator, the corridors, the stairs and the room. The carpet is filthy in most areas. Poor lighting in the room. And they wouldn't even accommodate for a 1 hour late checkout (Noon instead of 11am). At least the beds were comfortable enough and breakfast had a decent variety.

Check in easy and staff helpful. Breakfast items and breakfast facilities were great as you could take your food outside to a secluded area and eat in an area that had wooded and water features. Hotel was old but some renovations had been made making the facilities good but not great.

The hotel does need to be updated. Our room had a moldy smell. The carpets need to be replaced or removed. It would be nice to change the color of the paint inside the hotel rooms, they were too dark.

I love staying at this hotel. Stay here whenever I am in town for an event at the fair grounds, the Bucs stadium, or downtown. Staff is always friendly and the rooms are great!

Great experience and will stay with them in the future for sure. Only complaint is the curtains didn’t black out the light enough for my liking. I appreciated the security lights around the property and felt safe staying there.
The breakfast options were very good and tasted good too.
