Sewer stench all throughout the building and outside. So close to the highway that the room shakes. Awful and inattentive staff.

The gentleman that checked me in was very nice. The room was so so. The bed and the pillows were Horrible. Pillows were old and flat except the one that had feathers sticking out everywhere.
I asked for different pillows, never received them. The mattress was very uncomfortable. No microwave in room. No breakfast available. They have a little snack shop but it is closed on weekends. I needed to stay an extra night , when I asked the woman at the desk she said it would be $200 and that was for a Monday. I told her no thanks and that I would find another hotel. She wouldn’t try to do anything for me. So happy that they have that much money and that steady customers are not important.

Hotel service was lacking at the front desk and lobby restaurant/bar which was closed during our stay for lack of staffing. This was difficult when in town for a wedding and without a vehicle. Room had numerous maintenance issues - walls paper thin - no extra toilet paper or cups in our room. We had a suite and were disappointed with the condition of it, cleanliness and lack of service/amenities. For the price - definitely not worthwhile. On a busy road so the room was noisy. Poor lighting in the room made it hard to see what you were doing.

I had higher hopes for this hotel as we’ve stayed at several Courtyards before. Our room was not clean and they gave us 2 towels for a 4-night stay. There was no housekeeping service until checkout and the coffee shop in the lobby was closed the entire stay. It is VERY noisy, lots of road noise and thin walls, I could hear the conversations of all our neighbors. I give the area around the hotel a 3 because there are lots of restaurants and things to do and pretty close to the airport which is convenient but overall not a great stay.

The general manager was very unfriendly, she told me I had booked only one room and the hotel was full. I had booked 2 rooms.

We asked for room service upon arrival as it was offered every other day and we knew with the heat and activities planned we would like fresh towels. On day 3 we had to request it again. The lobby lounge and breakfast we not open one time from Thursday - Monday. Disappointed in the quality for the price paid.

The pull out sofa bed was awful - could feel every spring in the mattress and the entire frame was tilted so that the feet were higher than the head.
The room was clean except the pull out bedding was dirty.
Lighting in room was extremely dim and insufficient.
Front desk service + cleanliness of main entry, lobby areas was excellent. The gym was very nice.

Staff was great! I liked the workout facility and the convenience of the location. I also thought the room was clean and comfortable. I did not like the paper thin wall between us and the people who stayed in the adjoining room. When they talked, it sounded like they were in our bathroom.

Hallways were not vacuumed was a dead giveaway. Room was not vacuumed, heating unit didn’t work, toilet was running, shower dispensers fell off wall into tub and room next to us apparently we’re having domestic issues most of the night. Outside of that “perfect “. Needless to say that after never having an issue with Marriott it only takes 1 bad experience to never go to another Marriott or affiliate. That was the one. Too bad.

Apparently Expedia is overbooking hotels and it doesn’t update their system. I have had my hotel booked for months for my bride and I to stay in and we show up at 12:30 and they had booked our room for someone else. Extremely aggravating and hoping we get follow up and our money back. The hotel was overbooked and we did not get our room.

My room was beautiful and comfortable. But at around 2:30am someone was given access to my room. Their key card opened my door. I was startled awake from the whole wall shaking. The latch prevented them from coming in. I was groggy from my late flight and didn’t fuss over it. A couple days later I still felt uncomfortable and called management to make them aware of the error. As a single female traveler, I didn’t like his response and I wasn’t really given an apology, only an excuse. I would never stay there again.

Th bathroom shower could have been cleaner, there was mold on the caulking. I was in 3 rd floor and i heard an alarm clock (full blast)going off every morning i was there that never shut off!(empty room?) the room itself was clean (other than bathroom) and air conditioner worked good.

I was stuck because my car needed another day in the shop. The staff was nice and accommodating. I had a snaffu when booking and Samantha fixed it. The kitchen offered me free snacks and drinks.They we’re great.

We booked a king bed room from the Hotels.com app while in the parking lot. When we went inside to check-in they informed us that “due to construction, we only have 2 queen beds available”. If I wanted 2 queen beds, I would have booked them. Doesn’t the app confirm with the location? Construction didn’t start with the 3 minutes it took to book and check-in. Any thoughts?

The courtyard by Marriott at Grand Rapids was a nice hotel for the price. The room was very clean and bed was comfy. I did not think the refrigerator worked, I didn't really need it, and found out when leaving next day that there is a button inside to push to help it get cold. That information is valuable and needs to be placed on the fridge for future guest. I was also expecting body wash to be in the shower along with washcloths but there were 2 shampoos and 1 conditioner and no bodywash or washcloths close to the shower. The front desk attendants were super friendly and very helpful!! The elevator was a little dirty but overall the hotel was up to date and clean.
