We had a great one night stay here. The front desk person was absolutely amazing-so welcoming and helpful. I wish I could remember her name because she truly made our experience special. The room was clean and comfy, perfect for our needs. Highly recommend for anyone needing a short stay.

The room was filthy. We arrived and there was no one at the front desk. 3 other people were also trying to check in. We walked all over the downstairs trying find an employee with no luck. After 30 minutes of calling all the Holiday Inn reservation line and the hotel with no one replying the person walked in. The employee had left the property and she came with her child who then wanted her attention as all of us were trying to get checked in. She said sorry and tried to move forward but kept stopping to attend to her small child. Horrible hotel will never go back. Dirty and terrible service. - 10 stars

This might have been my worst experience with HI Express. The first room I was given had obvious water damage with paint peeling from the ceiling.
When I asked for another room, I was told it was an old building and the next room may not be any better.
It was but still had some ceiling paint peeling. Breakfast options were not that great either.

I'm getting the run around about a bed bug infestation. I'm told to call back next day after 9:00 am to find out pest control assessment, I call, then I am told call back after 12:00pm. Now I'm told that I should be talking with someone at booking service provider to resolve situation; however, hotel was paid directly upon arrival.

This hotel can use some deep cleaning. Our first room was dirty the sheets had stains. We moved and the second room the sink was clogged and toilet over flowed. Paint deep clean the carpets etc. would help

The hotel was very run down and old. The bathroom light did not work.. the popcorn ceiling was falling down all throughout the room. Multiple holes in the walls. The air conditioning in the hallways and lobby was broken and the temp read 86 degrees! Would not recommend!!! Absolutely not clean!!

Property was dirty, holes in walls, fire doors propped open with a rag - so if there was a fire they couldn’t close. Room furniture was so scratched dented in disrepair and old and not in an antique manner. Carpet was sooo disgustingly dirty and worn.

It’s probably unfair that we just stayed in the ABSOLUTE nicest HI EVER last weekend in Blacksburg, VA. Our expectations were set there. The breakfast bar was clean & good for premade food. Our rooms had been updated & you could tell the hotel had gotten a facelift as well. Our rooms were warm even with the AC on & could never get them quite comfy enough. The pool was out of commission so that was a bummer for our teenagers. Overall a great stay for one night!

All hotels need to rid their properties of carpets. It is the one thing that always disappoints. It gives an awful smell to the room and is generally just an unhealthy and disgusting idea. I know of no one who walks bare feet in a hotel room. I might be cheaper to just provide disposable slippers for guests.

I did not like the fact that it looked so old and outdated there were some nasty looking things in the bathroom, around the dream, the ceiling was peeling in the bathroom around the bottom part of the bed could use a paint job the carpets look a little dingy
