Old but not round down. Very good hotel and location to access the JCC Convention Center via underground tunnel. Only 400 meters away. Very practical. Staff is very nice and accommodating.

Overall was ok except that the condition of the furnishing was run down . And the toilet shower the drainage cover was broken. Just concern for any pest or unwanted creatures that can crawl through the piping and entered through the broken hole drainage cover which made my sleep not peaceful.

Requested 1 hour extend for late chk-out due to wasting time for breakfast queuing, but I was told that 50% of overnight charge. Decided to leave earlier with disappointment.

1) On the 1st day of check in, after i entered my room (They up-graded my room due to unavailable of the room i booked) just before i was about to put down my lap-top, i realize the working table was oily. Then i turned to the coffee table and truth, it was oily too. I cleaned up myself.
2) For 3 nights, i ordered room service. 02 Nasi Goreng Sultan Special and 01 Nasi Goreng Kampung. On the menu, it stated that both dish comes with shrimp. But disappointed. NOPE, they said there isn't any shrimp in it after i called them up.
There's few more but i think let's get these point fix first.
Ensure the room is really clean up before guest enter or check in. Please review your menu.

I have stayed at The Sultan Hotel for many years and generally enjoyed my stays. However, when a major conference is ongoing, the peace and quite in the hotel is gone and it negatively affects other quests. I suggest that single quests or families should enquire beforehand if a large function or conference is planned before making a booking.

Hotel is old, but rooms are clean. I booked it because it is walking distance to Jakarta Convention center. Staffs are friendly and helpful.

It was a terrible stay not because of the hotel facilities and staff. They were absolutely fantastic. But because it is right next to the stadium venue, they blasted music at 645 am in the morning and the windows shook and woke everyone in the hotel up. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay here unless you know there is no events at the time you stay here. The music went on all the way till even now at 11 am

I stayed only one night at the hotel and it was a nice one. Great breakfast with many options of Indonesian foods. The hotel is very clean and has friendly staffs. I was there for an event that happened at the hotel so it was very convenient but you can’t go anywhere outside the hotel without a car/taxi.

Comfortable and in good location for my needs. Breakfast could have been less hectic and crowded, you go to the buffet and someone’s taken your seat, and buffet could have been a bit more western ie no pork sausage or bacon.

Staff always friendly here. Special shout out to Giroto and Kartika for providing emergency seamstress services!Property is very large, but showing its age. Was probably top property in all Jakarta back in 1980. Key feature is that its connect to the convention centre.

Been to this hotel when it was new and was a Hilton. Very little work done in decades, but still OK. Food not great but location excellent.

The property is very old. The carpet have stains. The thing that grossed me out was the towels. It was greyish (the old white towel that turned grey). I am very disappointed with the room and how it was maintained. Nevertheless, the staffs were amazing. They were very helpful and courteous. I think it was the only saving grace for the hotel.

Rusty and old room, long queue to enter the restaurant for morning buffet, waiting very very very long for elevator as well. The greatest thing about this hotel is only the people, they are very accommodating and sincere. The worst is the building: worst soundproofing, old elevators, etc. I stayed in Garden Tower, maybe Lagoon Tower is better (maybe)...

My roon was located at 16th floor. Nice view of the city. No proper signage leading to the tower n hve to do self venture n find way to the tower n room. There were three lift, 2 for guest n 1 for housekeeping. No signs showing the lift was for housekeeping. Creeping feeling as wrongly used the housekeeping lift n the lift door opens another side. Stopped at 3 different floors, opens to small area for keeping iron boatd n other stuff. Finally went back to 16th floor n changed lift. Managed to find my way to lobby.
