A hotel which allows an early check-in if a prepared room is available is like gold to a traveller who has been flying for almost 24 hrs, needs to shower and to sleep.

I love the atmosphere around Katong. Highly recommend staying here for those who prefer a quiet stay in Singapore.

Arrived late on Friday evening for 1 night ans had super fast and friendly check in with Aniqua. As it was our anniversary and birthday through the kindness of Aniqua and his manager we were given an upgrade to a suite. The suite was spacious and comfortable and in a corner so it was a nice big balcony. Conveniently located between city and the airport it made it easy to go to hawker markets and comfortably get to the airport in about 12 mins. The only thing I could suggest is to fix the Toto Japanese automated toilet. The functions other than flush weren’t working. A small mall with coffee shop, grocery, laundry and massage is attached. It’s not the fanciest hotel we’ve stayed in but great value for money, exceptional service we would definitely stay again and recommended to others.

Great location, really big rooms, and well located in the centre of Katong. The new MRT state is just across the road which is super efficient. My only two areas of contention are the amount of plastic toiletries still being provided and the smell of smoke on floor 6. Otherwise I recommend this hotel.

Fantastic stay! Property is a bit older however is well maintained. Breakfast buffet options were great. Kids loved the pool! Many great food locations and shopping nearby! The new subway MTR station Marine Parade makes this hotel a great value to book because of how easy it makes it to get around!

Staff members were excellent and attentive and very polite . Easy communication in good English. Overall stay was excellent. Concierge / Longe / Foyer area could smell better though .

Solo staycation. Booked a Peranakan Solo room that has a bathtub outside the shower area. Room is very spacious, bright and clean. Bathtub is very clean too and bath salt is provided. The hotel removed the beautiful carpet under the bed which used to be a centrepiece of the room. TV remote is very user-unfriendly and all I found was Chinese channel. Breakfast is not that tasty and selection is just ok. No staff was at the egg station for a long while. All in all, it is just a normal 3 star hotel [don't expect too much) but I still enjoyed my staycation. l

Excellent hotel for the price, if you are ok with non-central location, which I knew. MRT and bus stops close by. Friendly service.

The hotel is old but redone. Pool and patio quite nice. Little cafes and grocery stops on ground floor of hotel. Very close to transit both underground and bus. Underground system takes you everywhere. The hotel smelled very musty and despite days of air conditioning the room smell did not clear.

During my stay at this property I was very dissatisfied with this hotel. Upon check-in I arrived a day earlier but booked the same room and yet their system is so dated the system wouldn’t allow me to combine reservations forcing my key not to work resulting in me having to go and check in again and have it reissued. Plus the lady at the desk asked me for my DOB and required the year too which I declined. This is a very dated, noisy location. The staff isn’t very accommodating either and the breakfast was average at best nothing to buy or rave about. The pancakes or hotcakes were never ever hot not even warm but lukewarm hotcakes. I did like that my room had a SmartTV which allowed me to stream and mirror / shadow my shows directly from my smartphone, which was a major plus! The staff, hospitality, food preparation and the hotel itself are all very dated! Stay here if you are on a budget if not go to the location next door the Grand City Garden Hotel which has a high rise with dining and a beautiful lobby area, it’s still dated but the rooms look and are better and the facility and staff are better across-the-board. I would not recommend this hotel on any level. The toilet flooded and the pool area and rooftop was dated too.

Clean and friendly.

We were just looking for a place to chills for 2 night since our place is under renovation work. Place is convenient, easily walkable to all the nice food and just one road to East Coast park.

The staff were friendly and helpful whilst the room was spacious in comparison to other hotels in Singapore. The good news for guests staying at this hotel from June 2024, the new extension of the MRT Line will open (Station: Marine Parade), which is right behind the hotel, making your commute to Downtown much easier.

Room and staff were brilliant

It’s very convenient to all we needed on this vacation. The staff are all very nice and very helpful on our needs. Overall stay in this property was the best choice.

Peranakan Club room was very spacious and quiet. Club food, drinks and atmosphere were very good. Well done to Chandran and Ben! Only downside was the (main) breakfast room was very chaotic, noisy and often missing food, drink and glasses. The staff in the room were run off their feet but they were very obliging and friendly.

Friendly staff, comfy beds, good size room (family of 4), buffet breakfast had a great variety of food. What would be very helpful was a place to hang towels in the room.

I loved the hotel. Its location was perfect for our needs as it was surrounded by restaurants, bars, coffee shops, a supermarket, a bakeshop etc. The room was airy and spacious with a super comfortable bed.

Hotel itself seemed dated for a 4 star, staff and service was kind and help but rooms weren't that comfortable. Bathrooms lacked ventilation, HVAC was not dehumidifying the room enough so the condensation was quite severe once the ac was running. Felt that I overpaid for my stay based on other hotels in the city in this price range.

The staff were super friendly and the place was super clean.
