I had the pleasure of staying at AKA White House during Thanksgiving weekend, and it was an outstanding experience. The location is unbeatable, placing you in the heart of the city and within walking distance to major attractions. Parking was a breeze, and check-in was impressively fast and efficient.
The room itself was spacious, well-appointed, and remarkably quiet—a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The attention to detail in the amenities and the overall comfort of the space made it feel like a home away from home.

The hotel is excellent, a free drink, live music with a guitar player and very nice staff made the stay great. The two bedroom option was perfect for traveling with a colleague or a child. The whole experience was fabulous. Only comment would be that parking was extremely expensive but otherwise all was perfect!

Loved our stay at AKA. Everyone went above and beyond to accommodate us. Sergio even brought us a blanket while we watched a movie in their cinema room. We didn’t even ask for it. I will definitely stay there the next time I’m in DC.

This property was remarkable. The suites exceeded our expectations and came with a full kitchen and laundry facility. Gorgeous decorations and the lobby was very fancy (and smelt amazing!). Was not expecting this high level of quality considering it was one of the lower cost hotels in the downtown core. Highly recommended.

Location was good and suite was clean. The deadbolt lock didn’t work-we were told the chain was sufficient. We also had problems with the appliances. Fridge didn’t work and had to be swapped out. Washing machine also didn’t work. Staff responded quickly but some clothing was ruined and it was a major inconvenience.

Nice but dated rooms in a place that can't decide if it's a hotel or an apartment building. Service is fine for long-term stays but falls short for typical hotel guests. No restaurant, and the bar is open only a few nights a week with little atmosphere, in a nice part of Washington, D.C. that empties out after 6 p.m. Overall, a bit of a letdown - even if the price is right.

Just laded from a very long trip far away , but we waited too long to be checked in,, also the human behavior during the welcoming at the reception didn't meet my expectations ….
No laundry service during weekends!!! No housekeeping ( only in Wednesdays) !
No available drinking water at the gym!!!!

Theres no room service, unless requested and some for a fee. Communication was not the best. Was told I could book for an additional week, then was told the rooms were sold out, after staying a full week. Now i have to find another hotel for work with less amineties.

Rooms are dated, the bed is the worst hotel bed we’ve slept in - rock hard with poor quality bedding and lumpy uncomfortable pillows. We were a little shocked by the quality of the hotel.

AKA WH should offer daily cleaning room services. We stayed for 7 days and all they could offer was 1 day. That may have worked during COVID but that is no longer the environment. I like the hotel but their refusal to offer daily or every other day room cleaning is unfortunate as most hotels in the vicinity provide such cleaning services daily.

We enjoyed our stay at AKA White House. We traveled with our large family and were all on the same floor, which was nice. Compass Coffee is directly across the street which was nice to grab coffee or a matcha latte while waiting for our large group to gather. Notable restaurants within walking distance are Founding Farmers and Immigrant Food. We would stay at AKA White House again.

Great place overall. Very comfortable with separate bedrooms, living space, and kitchen. Air conditioning over sofa could get too cold, but it was constantly running because of outdoor hot temps. Great location near sites, metro access, and restaurants. Need to make sure housekeeping leaves supplies as needed. Overall would highly recommend and would consider staying here again.

Stephen was wonderful and made us feel very welcome. He also was very accommodating when we ended up in the ER and needed a taxi to get us back to the hotel, made sure we had ice and anything we needed, and worked with us to extend our stay by one night since I could not travel. The Suite itself was perfect and had everything we needed. We were even able to have groceries delivered from the Giant Supermarket right to our Suite. Luke’s Lobsters across the street was phenomenal. The location is ideal- around the corner from the White House and a block away from the Metro. We will definitely stay here again!!

This residential hotel was excellent for our purposes as tourists in Washington DC. Easy walking distance to the White House, Washington Monument, etc. It was also within easy walking distance of several excellent restaurants. The apartment was spacious and well-appointed, except it lacked a safe. We were also a little concerned that access to the elevator/apartments was not particularly secure, and thought the elevator access needed to be with room-card only. Staff were pleasant and helpful, but at times there was only one person at the desk, which added to our concern about security.

First time staying at this property and I did enjoy myself. The lobby area was quiet and clean. The hotel front staff were helpful and friendly. It is an apartment style hotel and for me that was different especially if you are used to staying in a regular hotel room. The room was like being at home as there was a living room area with full stove/fridge and sink. Its located very close to the white house and national mall. Both within walking distance. Also the front desk manager was wonderful and very responsive for any additional requests.
The front doors to the hotel open directly to the street and they lock at 10 or 1030pm so you will need to use your keycard for entry.

Cons: Outdated decor, maintenance isn't great. E.g. several doors and windows are misaligned and rub/are hard to open and close.

Due to the rudeness of the front desk staff, I don't think I will ever use this hotel again.
The initial interaction with the front desk staff during check-in strongly influences the perception of the hotel, and unfortunately, I checked out with a very negative experience.
I sincerely hope they treat other guests with more kindness.
