delightful stay -great friendly staff, fun location and very clean. Loved the breakfast and light dinner.

Well-located, older property. Excellent staff. Very good breakfast buffet and light supper included, which makes the "net" rate very attractive if you are not intent on going out for expensive meals. Though our room was on 3rd floor over main road, virtually no "road noise" at night. Only room drawback = very limited storage space, so basically lived out of suitcases. Would gladly return.

We have stayed here twice and it’s been lovely each time. The breakfast buffet is always wonderful, and the staff go the extra mile to make sure guests have a great experience. We highly recommend this hotel.

Perfect location for a short stay in Bergen. Safe parking available just 50m away (for a fee). Very friendly staff. We arrived 2hrs early and were allowed to check in. The light dinner of soup and salads was delicious, and complimentary, what a treat! Breakfast was so-so. Bed was comfortable. Would stay here again

On a 3 night stay. Rooms a bit small but adequate. Half look into an internal courtyard with windows that are limited to opening a crack. No view but quiet. Great breakfasts. Evening meal ok but no choice either salad or their hot choice like chicken or pasta bolognaise. Convenient for the station and the City Hall boats.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Everything was close by within walking distance. The hotel staff were wonderful. They were very dedicated and passionate about the service they were offering; always smiling and checking if the guests needed anything at the breakfast, fika and evening dinner time. The food was great, we really enjoyed the fresh croissants, pancakes and the different varieties of jams/ fruit spreads that were offered. A special mention to the staff member Vita, who went the extra mile to find a vegetarian option at one of the evening meals. We will definitely stay at this hotel wherever they are in Scandinavia.

Excellent experience. Warm welcome, spacious room, nice breakfast and evening meal, universally nice staff. Good location. Gym needs some work, but overall I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel as an excellent choice for a visit to Bergen.

Free dinner was bad leftovers mixed together with at least 2-3 days old fish. Sauna only dry was working, no plunge pool. Breakfast average buffet Front desk nice and smiling

It was quite disappointing that there is no concierge and the staff is not trained to offer even the lowest level of this type of service. No fault of the staff. The people were great. Very nice. Very friendly. Wanting to help. But not trained to suggest where to go, where to eat, any of that. They suggest using the Visitor Center, 15 minutes away, and, while you can book things there, there is not a lot of advice given. Moreover, this hotel actually has some nice features, and , unless you know to ask, you will likely miss them. They have this very cool tower that you can get a special key to enter and then climb up to. Great views of the city. But, the staff is not trained to let you know about this. We found out from another guest. Ditto that they have a nice sauna, but they do not tell you about it. Again, we found out about this from another guest. Good people, but Clarion really falls on their face for not offering any kind of concierge and not highlighting the features of the property itself.

Hotel could not have been better situated. Amid the Hanseatic old houses. Everything walkable.\ Hotel rooms are comfortable with a nice desk. We got upgraded to a room with a view of the harbor. Worth it.

Staff were all excellent..small dinner provided was fabulous (as was breakfast). Bar area in lobby was a beautiful quiet space for a rest with a drink

Great location. But no onsite parking. Close to famous Bergen city view points. The front desk staffs are friendly however they may not very knowledgeable about this area. The room is clean but the facilities are kind of outdated. The breakfast and dinner are all included and great. The top of the building terrace is gorgeous place to look around the pretty city.

We loved our stay at this hotel. The food was amazing, the bed was very comfortable, and the staff were both helpful and friendly. We can’t wait to come back again.

I loved this hotel. It offered a nice comprehensive breakfast, and complimentary crepes in the afternoon, and a complimentary light supper. I wasn't excited about our view though. It was pretty disappointing. I would have paid extra to have a view instead of just a parking lot in the center of the building.

The free food bar was better than an all inclusive resort !

The location near Bryggen was perfect! The staff were helpful and the food was awesome. Our only complaint was the tea kettle was not left clean but they immediately remedied the issue and brought us a brand new one.

Nice hotel in historic building with good breakfast and location.

We were upgraded by Expedia so had a wonderful suite. I did not like that we could not check in early even if our room was not ready. We had to wait until the check in time to even provide our name. The breakfast was good.
