There is a supermarket in the same building and the subway station is close and very convenient. Breakfast start at 6:00 is a rare and very welcoming service, but all meals are served only around 6:20.

The location is great and easy to commute by public transportation. Lots of dining options. The hotel is a bit dated, and the chair in my room is clearly worn off on the edge of the seat. The design of the shower floor keeps the shower water on the floor and always leaves a pond there. Hotel staff and service are nice.

The rooms in general are a bit run down. The first room I received had so many moths that I asked to get another room (after having killed at least 10). This was arranged quickly, but not a word of apology. The second room was so hot. I thought at first it might be because it had not been used for a while. I asked in the reception and they sent up an engineer. His solution was to open the window :-) and he explained to me via a translation app that this time of year (March) they only have heating, not cooling. I found this explanation strange as the previous room was much cooler but I felt it was pointless to argue with the engineer. The open window made it OK. Apart from that the breakfast was great although very busy and the slow coffee machines are a bottle neck. The hotel is very conveniently located just next to a mall with a big underground food court. There is a nice pool in the hotel but as always in China it's strictly for swimming laps (not like you hang out with a beer).

Convenient transportation is the best

Can't adjust air conditions temperature ! When outside temperature almost 90 degrees! Very hot and call technician answered yhat is normal because its end of October ! Also in the room no refrigerator not as advertised !

The hotel is getting worn. The neighborhood is good. But the staff was so so.

The worst experiences I had so far. Took for more than 1 hour to check in since only 1 counter is opened . All my colleagues has experiences the same thing for those who arrived earlier or later than I am which means this is the normal practice for this hotel . A lot of the room is smelly , air con not working , and the worst of all no fridge in the room but did not even mention it when we check in !!! Everything just bad !!

Bad service

It is a nice place, in the middle of the city, but out of the hustle and bustle of the streets.

Overall nice. But room has smoke smell despite being non smoking room. Seems to be the standard for china hotels

Location is good. But facility seems to be a little bit old.

This hotel is very good for everything. It was a nice view from the window of my room. I can recommend this hotel to my colleagues and friends when they stay in Shanghai.

good swim pool, delicious and healthy breakfast option

Aged property. Room was hot and needed fan. Hot tub at gym was not working. Towel are very used although clean. For the 5 star rating, this place needs to be updated.

They never open air condition. The weather was hot in Shanghai and their central heat makes the room and myself really uncomfortable for sleeping overnight. I had called them daily and they are not "approve" on opening air condition. It was the worst experienced i had with this hotel for the last 5 years.

Awful. The air conditioner don’t work in the whole hotel, the fridge was warm and the shower without pressure. I ever saw a 5 star hotel Ian this condition.

1 night, very convienent to go to the Hongqiao hub by subway. Unfortunately Minibar is not anymore filled up

There is always a long gueue (5-6 guests) for check in and check out (mixed together). Each spend almost 5-10 min and 9nly w staffs in the reception desk..... I had waited for 30min and another 15min fir my invoice in the morning for check out.... almost muss my domedtib flight......!

Disappointed with the stay. It is too crowded. Executive lounge is closed . Lack of privacy . This is the result of the Covid situation .

All like before, but because of Covid-19 no more direct connection to the subway. Breakfast buffett has also less selection now, especially no more salmon and Salami. Executive floor at 56 floor is closed now, they offer instead of a happy hour from 17:30 - 20:00 at the 26th floor. But still a good hotel located at the a ver convienent loacation and place.

Like always in the Zhongshan Renaissance I had an excellent time, good service even in the Covid-19 period, friendly staff, room was clean and especially the bathroom with the bath tub very nice. Very good connection to the Subway Line 2 which bring you fast and comfortable to all the central places in Shanghai. Will book there for sure again

Overall a comfortable stay and convenient location for shopping and dining, only it takes too long for hotel room service to pick up the phone.

It's very convenient, the quilt is clean, the tea set is not complete, there is no free tea and coffee, some drinks need to be paid, I don't like this unclear service concept so much.

Pros: Hotel is linked to the shopping mall and subway. Cons: Noticed dirt on the floor in the toilet upon check-in and it was there for 4 days. The bed covers were touching the floor. There is still room for improvement for cleanliness.

Beautiful hotel fantastic views very convenient transport was easy food variety was excellent price was fantastic

The location and buffet breakfast are excellent although the guest room is warmer than we thought and the temperature can not be adjusted (kept at 26’C). Hotel staff is polite. Front desk help line is quick in responses. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone love visiting Shanghai.

Staff is friendly and professional. Great location for public transport and easy to call for taxi. Spread of Breakfast is good. Bed is very comfortable.
