The location in the old city made it a great choice. With a 5-minute walk to the Hagia Sophia, we were thrilled with its convenience. The room was spacious and comfortable for two friends to share. What added to the experience was the tour guide the hotel arranged for us to do a private tour. Not only did he know his stuff, turns out he trained many of the guides running group tours. I doubt we would have found such an exceptional guide on our own.

The hotel's location is superb, the staff is terrific and the breakfast is excellent. However the rooms are very small and the showers are awkward and very slippery. We were unable to unpack our suitcases due to lack of space. If you are staying for 2 or 3 days, you will be fine. A shout out to the staff for arranging tours and assisting with logistics, as the hotel is in a no-drive zone. Have your taxi call the hotel and they will have someone meet you at the drop off to take you and your bags to the hotel.

Very close to the sightseeing attractions, nice staff. Just not accessible by car (need to walk up for around 1 block) and we can hear the pray from the mosques in the hotel room

Location, you are a stone’s throw from the Hagia Soohia.Hotel staff were amazingly friendly. Greeted me with refreshing drink when I arrived to helping with bags to my room and the like. During my stay they were flexible with missing breakfast. Concierge desk were quite helpful with places to eat to local tourist spots. The room was clean. Staff always greeted with a smile.

The hotel is located in the best possible area of Istanbul but precisely because of how touristy it is and its proximity to several mosques that call for prayer 5 times a day don’t expect it to be quiet for sleeping.
The property is beautiful; breakfast was delicious; and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Luxury toiletries, comfy slippers and robes helped make it a great experience.

The st. Sophia hotel is in the beautiful old city area a walking distance to major tourist attractions. We were very pleased with the hotel service. The pickup from the airport was organized perfectly by the hotel. On the way back to the airport they called a taxi at 4:00 am & helped us with the luggage. There were 3 or 4 hotel workers in the lobby ready to help at 4am!!!

We arrived all way from US just to find out that they put us in a different hotel 10 minutes away. We picked this hotel to be walking distance to Hagia Sophia. We were very disappointed as it appeared it maybe hotel practice to get guests in that location and then “upgrade them to better room further away”. Be aware that if you book this hotel, you may actually stay someplace else.

Highly recommended for anyone visiting the old town in Istanbul. The hotel is really near the main sights like the basilica, blue mosque, Hagia Sophia, and notable streets with many dining options. It is also walkable to the grand bazaar and Egyptian bazaar, which makes it great for those that would like to travel and sightsee on foot. Otherwise, trams and taxis are also available, and can take you across to the new town easily.
Would like to give a big shoutout to the staff in the hotel, everyone was really welcoming and friendly. We had breakfast there for our last day and the spread was a delight.

I m really pleased with their customer service. I landed in the morning, and they were happy to check me in without any additional charges. When inquired about food place at 4am, the staff literally came with breakfast platter when the kitchen was closed. Reception staffs go extra mile to look after their guests. Even 2 of staffs helped my wife with the luggage and walked to the taxi parking area, as taxis can’t come to the reception area (500 m). I stayed there only for 2 nights, as I had medical appointment, but I wish I could stay there for longer.

A charming boutique hotel with an amazing location. Friendly and helpful staff. Check in was a breeze. The room was comfortable, modern and clean. It is a stone’s throw from the Haghia Sophia. It is steps away from many sights. Situated right on a tram line (but not bothered by noise) connections to Istanbul’s excellent public transportation are a breeze. I highly recommend it and hope to return soon

Amazing! The staff was all super friendly and abundantly helpful beyond any expectation even walking me to a museum to help make sure I got there before they closed. The location is amazing being less than 100 meters from Hagia Sophia and almost all of the other historical sites are within a short walk.

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay here. When we arrived i was not quite sure how it would be as the entrance was very basic. However staff went above and beyond with service.
Breakfast was amazing and so much choice!
The rooms were cosy and always cleaned well.
The only drawback was that taxis were not allowed in the area as it is a UNESCO heritage site. However after the first day we got used to the idea and it truly isca beautiful historical location.

This is a wonderful hotel located right in the centre of the Old City. The Hagia Sophia is right next to the hotel and many of the central attractions are within walking distance. There is also a tram stop located a short distance from the hotel.
The rooms are clean, stylish and comfortable. Lovely bathrooms with hot water. I had a really great night sleep here.
I would suggest having the Turkish breakfast in the morning - a lot of food and all of it tasty, it will set you up for the day. The hotel also offers tea and treats in the afternoon - recommended!
The staff were all very friendly and helpful, assisting with luggage, explaining how to use public transport or helping you book a tour.
I would stay here again, this hotel had a very warm and friendly feel to it.

The staff was great, always helpful with a smile, never make you feel like you are inconveniencing them, felt welcomed, although at some points we had an understandable language barrier, but the message and jokes were communicated easily

If you don’t have an itinerary like my wife and I, feel free to ask at the reception, we did almost all the recommendations from private tour, spa, boat cruises and restaurants during our four night stay

This boutique hotel is an oasis in a bustling city. Situated beside the Haiga Sofia and the Blue Mosque and the park that is Topkapi Palace and on a main tram line of the city. Perfect location! 20 minute tram from ships terminal. Beautiful rooms and unbelievable breakfast, traditional, highly recommend, and North American.

The staff at this hotel goes over the top to please their guests. Our friends were not staying at the hotel with us because they had reservations elsewhere, but they kept their luggage for them and provided transfer to the airport for them anyway. They made reservations for our group to eat at an amazing roof top restaurant. We had 360 degree views of this amazing city that is breathtaking at night. Great food also! The breakfast in the morning is amazing and given complimentary to the guests. This hotel is awesome!

Had a great stay. The staff was extremely helpful in helping me book dinner reservation and even tours. Some of them being super last minute. Also the location of the hotel was excellent. It could be a little noisy seeing that it’s right across the street from the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. But I didn’t really mind it.

The location is perfect. The staff is the most friendly, helpful and attentive we’ve ever experienced. We were walked to shops, shows, restaurants and accompanied while we shopped. All the recommendations were terrific. We’ve been to almost 90 countries, but we’ve never had this class of attention. Can’t say enough great things about this place. We hope to come back again. BTW, this is my first post despite many bookings with various online hotels.

This hotel is very close to most of the main attractions such asBasilica Cistern, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and the Blue Mosque. Room was very clean and comfortable, staff very helpful and friendly. Would thoroughly recommend especially due to its location.

We love this hotel and have stayed on several occasions. This hotel is in the most stunning location, and the service is great and the staff are friendly. The breakfast is wonderful and nothing beats hearing the call to prayer each day from your room. Honestly this hotel is one of our favorite things about Istanbul.
