The Ashtree House Hotel was a piece of history located in the middle of busy Glasgow. Maureen and the staff were welcoming and very friendly. I loved the hotel and its historical feel. The cherry on top were the whiskey bar and the restaurant. We had a homecooked meal, that was delicious! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Great stay at a lovely hotel, lovely welcome on arrival, evening 3 course meal was lovely (complements to the chef!!), bed super comfortable, shower was hot and had amazing pressure (needed after a long days work), breakfast choice was great with the Scottish breakfast being the perfect size for a hard day back at work. 100% be back for sure.

While the proprietors were friendly and helpful about local information such as transportation and restaurants, the facilities were outdated and in need upgrade. The amenities were minimal and location was less than ideal.

A handsome house with appealing public areas and a spacious bedroom with splendid views across town to the hills.

We had a wonderful stay! It was brief as we flew out very early but Maureen helped us get set up with a cab for the airport and made us comfortable next to the fire with a beverage before catching some sleep for our flight the next day! The staff was very warm with my children and even gave us a little history on the beautiful building. Thank you Ashtree House!

Unique old mansion bang in centre of town which was ideal as we were going to a gig in town. We had the economy room 4, we paid a bit less for it but it was perfect for our trip. Had a sneak peak in rooms 2 and 3 as we left and they were stunning. Lovely staff and a great experience.

Maureen was an absolute joy. She was meant to host people and make them feel warm. My husband and I couldn’t be more pleased with our last night in Scotland being at the Ashtree. The bed was an absolute dream, great pillows, and lovely rustic decor. We recommend Ashtree.

Original features and rooms were warm and comfortable. The whole property had welcoming and cosy feel to it.

A gem of a place. Don’t miss the restaurant. Also save some time to walk around the area especially the abbey.

Wonderful family operated hotel in a 200 year old house decorated in original style of the period. Excellent food and Maureen is a great host. Hope to visit again!

This property is quaint, but old and up a steep hill for parking - beware if driving manual. There is no elevator inside and many small hallway stairs to navigate. Spiders in bathroom and windows in need of cleaning. All in all the ppl were so nice and accommodating. There is not an airport shuttle - they will call you a cab you must fund. Area is bustling and loud if you like that.

Staff are very personable. The property is gorgeous and tucked away to give it a hidden feel in the middle of the city. Room had everything required and the bathroom was excellent.

Great place to stay near airport. Comfortable beds and free parking. In the family suite, suggest you add window coverings in bathroom and on skylights for privacy and support sleeping.

staff friendly and helpful, meal very good. Room spacious, only issue was shower faucet dripping. Had to close bathroom door so I didn’t hear it all night.

The staff treated us like family. The food was excellent. It is just a short train away from Glasgow and Edinburgh. We were able to navigate easily to anywhere we wanted to go. On my next trip to Scotland, I will plan to stay there.

Proprietors Tom & Maureen were very warm & welcoming! They were both very quick to offer assistance with anything that might be needed (or even simply wanted 😉). Wonderful, delicious full breakfast, too!! Would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay in Paisley because of the team at Ashtree. Very accommodating, kind, and personal. It felt like we were staying at their home, not just a hotel. Great location, within walking distance to the center of town. Would highly recommend and hope we get to come back and stay again in the future.

Lovely welcome and very friendly staff. I've stayed at Ashtree House on numerous occasions and always found it a wonderful and peaceful place to stay despite it being in central Paisley

Beautiful and smart property with great location in older Paisley part of town. Walked to a lovely dinner before flying to Iceland. Staff was excellent as well as the staff and service with breakfast. Would definitely stay again !

Lovely Georgian building with spacious rooms, a garden & parking. We will return when the museum re-opens. Good accessibility to airport & Glasgow.

I wish we could have stayed longer. I even offered to leave my family and stay on to help because I didn’t want to leave. (Kind of kidding.) After a whirlwind trip with lots of stops, this was our last place before we departed the UK. We decided last minute to stay at Ashtree in Paisley instead of staying in the city, and it was our best choice of the trip. Our room was beautiful and charming with a big window overlooking the garden. We had tea and coffee and hot chocolate in the room, plus cookies! The bathrooms was luxurious, with great water pressure and a nice and hot shower while looking out to the sky. We enjoyed some beers while we played some games in the parlor before we went to bed and got to meet some other tourists. In the morning, we were greeted with the most delicious breakfast, made to order! Maureen, one of the owners, could not have been more gracious, caring, and kind. We felt so cared for. In a world of automated check-ins, this experience at Ashtree reminded us of why the human touch is so important. It elevates the experience and shows us that when we connect with other people, our journey is that much more meaningful and memorable. I would come back just to stay in this lovely inn.

The Ashtree is an absolutely gorgeous property, the pictures do not do it justice. From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed and cared for. My room was filled with charm and I had a beautiful view looking down onto Paisley. The chef was so kind and made the most delightful meals. I was genuinely sad to leave and say goodbye to the lovely owners. I HIGHLY recommend staying here.

Nice room but insufficient towels for two people, and bathroom extractor fan did not work - meaning no ventilation in windowless room. Heating was very high- welcoming but not eco-friendly. Breakfast was decent, though service not very quick.

This place is a gem! I hesitate to say more because I want to keep it a secret!
