Staff friendly, helpful, fun. Room..more than I asked for!

Great location. Excellent staff. My only complaint was the room was very warm even with the temperature set in the 60s, we couldn’t get it below 76.

Suite room was large and clean. Parking is per day but conveniently located.

Doubletree texted daily to check on my stay which was very helpful to request shower gel. They responded quickly

Room was nice but air conditioner broke first night which we didn't realize and the floor ended up having wet spots. Hotel did give us a small voucher for breakfast. Would have liked enough to cover everyone in our room.

Beautiful, clean, comfortable, spacious room. Loved everything about this hotel. We will absolutely be staying there again!

The decor of the hotel is beautiful, but the staff was very rude and lazy. The staff appeared to be in slow motion, attempting to do least possible work before they clocked out. It took us two hours after check in time before our room was clean. The valet initially refused to valet us because our vehicle was too big. The side conversations between the staff was more important than their job. We got “the intimidation stare” if we interrupted their side talk. I got a $30 voucher for the two hour delay in check-in, which was nowhere near worth my time.

Very nice rooms. Nice fitness room with plenty of options and equipment. Clean hotel! Restaurant and bar were nice, good food and service.

The only big disappointment was the dining experience at the hotel. Specifically, we ordered three shrimp cocktail at $18 each. The menu said it came with avocado, tomato, and red onion. When we received our order, there were five shrimp in each on a bed of greens. The dish did not reflect the menu or price. Our previous experience at this restaurant was much better. Hopefully this was a one-time glitch.

Elevator was dirty and it smells bad like a horse pee. Staff are friendly & quick to mitigate issues or requests.

The room was very spacious and clean. You could smell that all the linen was fresh and clean. They have great amenities here as well. The downside of this hotel is that you have to park across the street and there were no luggage carts available. Had I been traveling with only my daughter, I would have had to make multiple trips taking her inside and out across a busy street. That is a big safety issue. The biggest issue I had was that I had to keep stopping multiple times to answer the phone for the front desk. They kept calling for me to pay the remaining balance because there was a communication issue between their technology and my bank. With having to answer the phone call so many times, I was LATE for my GRADUATION. I had to stop getting ready to call my bank, and had my bank on speaker phone with the front desk on speaker phone to show the front desk my bank was not receiving any communication from them. They called multiple times after I hung up the phone. I had an energetic three year old I was trying to get ready and myself. These constant calls took time away from me getting ready and hence made me late for my graduation. The other issue I had was that you had to sign in to the apps to use them and the live tv would go out and turn to a blank black screen. I tried to turn off and turn on the tv to get it fixed, but it didn't work. The hotel is beautiful, but the above issues really makes me question if I would want to stay here again.

Hotel is okay. King size bed felt like we were sleeping on a board. Hotel staff called me to the front desk the day after check in to pay my deposit when I paid it at check in. Staff apologized. Bar and kitchen doesn’t stay open late. We stayed for the fireworks and it was a good location to walk to see the fireworks.

Loved the hotel. The 2 Queens 2 room suite was exceptionally nice. Parking was the only issue. Decided on valet (added cost) and the attendees were very nice and accommodating. Will visit again

Computers systems were down during our stay couldn’t get into put rooms without staff letting us in apparently this happens alot hmmm ??? Wonder why ?? I have my thoughts ! Staff doesn’t smile very robotic… housekeeping never cleaned our room would not recommend hotel or go back

We had an excellent stay. The only negative was getting good service in the bar/restaurant. They need to hire additional servers; we were constantly kept waiting. LeRome in housekeeping was very helpful and provided excellent service when needed. The room was very clean and spacious.

The sheets was very stained. I don’t believe the bedding was clean

Staff was excellent! Rooms were clean!!

Dirty condition. Faulty heating & cooling. Our room stay at 77-78 degrees. Cob webs on ceiling, reddish blood like stains on carpet in front of bed, heavy dust on bed board frame. Weak water pressure. The staff tried (in a hurry) to fix all of the above. The maintenance swiftly tried to repair the temperature control, compression. The Manager was very kind and tried to make it right, I will NOT be able to sleep tonight!

Everything and everyone was absolutely amazing!

My hotel king bed, two-room suite was fabulous. The 2nd room had a queen or king pull-out sofa bed. A 55" flat-screen tv in both rooms. There was a fridge and microwave hidden behind a closed-cabinet door. Also coffee and bottled water. A clean, spacious bathroom that came with enough towels, body lotion and soap, shampoo/conditioner, and blow dryer. No shower cap. Also bedroom closet came with a safe, iron and board. There was a choice of in-room or restaurant dining. The stay had a home-away-from home feel to it. My next stay in Detroit, will definitely be at the Doubletree Hotel. Forgot to mention the 2 big warm, chocolate-chip cookies they give their guests upon arrival. Mmmm, mmmm good.

Great place to stay for all activities in downtown Detroit. Hotel was very clean and staff were friendly and very helpful. Only thing is parking as they recommend you park in a lot that they don't own and it is expensive, and you must be out of the lot by 2:00 pm.

The comforter was very stained with what looked like urine. I paid for a king room and they overbooked so I was 'upgraded' to a double queen with stained linens.

Way overpriced everything snacks and room

No bell people to help with bags. They have the bell option on the phone. But I was told there was nobody that could help with my bags. Which is inconvenient with a newborn.

Beautiful and spacious suite. The TV did.not work and the main overhead light only had a few bulbs working. Part of the bathroom was not cleaned properly. But everything else was fantastic.

Front desk staff were wonderful!
