Nice and cosy location (even it was a bit struggling to go there from the train station with a heavy suit case). Great service. Not the best breakfast, but quite okay. Okay to share wc/shower, doesn't effect the feeling of privacy. Nice with a wash basin in the room though. Dripping a bit from the air conditioner.

Centrally located, clean, modern… Cheerful, friendly, helpful front desk and breakfast buffet staff…Caveat: no lift/elevator for mobility limited— common in old European buildings…

The room was a typical room you can expect in a European hotel, but it gets 5 stars for the location, view and friendliness of the staff. I was amazed to be able to find such an affordable hotel in such a beautiful location. It's within walking distance from several restaurants and major attractions, but the hotel itself is located on a little side street where almost no tourists go, so you're getting the true Venetian experience. This is also the only hotel I've stayed at in Europe that had a proper front desk. GPS is HIGHLY recommended, as the property will be very difficult to find without it. The only thing I will complain about is the breakfast lady was a little annoying. She kept coming over to our table and putting food on it, when we just wanted to be left alone and grab what WE want ourselves. She also rationed out the meat, which is the one thing we wanted more of.

Within walking distance of St. Mark's Square, situated on a small canal, the Locanda Silva was clean and comfortable. Friendly front desk person; check-in was quick. Note that the front desk is up one flight of stairs, and then two flights of stairs to our room, which was spacious and clean. Comfortable bed. The bathroom and shower is on the small side, but manageable. There was an armoire, desk, and wall TV. Reading lamp on the nightstands (thank you!). The front desk is manned until 11pm. Breakfast comes with the room; served at 8am in a community dining room. Hot breakfast items, pastries, fruit, coffee; all delicious! We enjoyed our nightly walk from St. Mark's Square through the neighborhood and along the canal.

Great staff, quiet area between St. Marks and Rialto. Would stay again for sure.

The hotel was easy to find and only a short walk from St Mark’s Square and the Rialto Bridge. The staff were friendly and very helpful and on reception spoke excellent English. Breakfast was plentiful. We got the boat from the airport to San Zacharia/St Mark’s but to return walked a little further to Fondament te Nove which halves the journey time back to the airport

Everything was so perfect! We love it! The area, service and very clean room!

Great location. The staffs were really nice and helpful. The reception, the restaurant staff and the cleaning staff, they were all so nice and friendly. I even wouldn’t like to leave on my last day. One week in Venice was like a dream, and I wish I could stay here longer next time.

Perfect location on a quiet street but close to everything, friendly staff, tasty breakfast, comfortable room with aircon and a canal view, just perfect! My only complaint is that the shower stall corners could use a thorough scrub and the shower & sink didn't drain well. But that was a minor inconvenience, I'd definitely stay here again!

This older, smaller hotel is located near San Marcos square and shopping. Our family stayed in a quad room with 4 comfortable twin beds and a private bath/shower with plenty of hot water. The air-conditioner condenser was dripping water at night, and the staff got it fixed the next day. Daily cleaning with fresh towels. The hotel staff was helpful and polite. As most hotels, it was a little tricky to find at first.

Hotel com excelente localização, com fácil acesso a SAN Marco e Rialto. Restaurantes e comércio próximos. Hotel muito bem limpo e com funcionários atenciosos. Café da manhã é bom.
