We were traveling down the coast and needed a bed for the night. AmeriCoast was clean, quite and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Just a run down facility. Shower curtain rod ready to fall off the wall. Light switches on wall lamp by bed worked poorly. Mold in bathroom.

Overall our stay was very pleasant. The gentleman that checked us in was very friendly and helpful with local information. The room had plenty of room, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The reason we didn't rate it Excellent is due to being on the bottom floor, we woke up to the people directly above us walking continuously, which I am sure was due to the age of the hotel, we heard every step they took and/or anything they dropped rolled across the floor. In fact it was loud enough that it woke my husband up and he had forgotten we were in a motel and woke me up because he thought there was a family of raccoons or rats in the attic. Not sure anything can be done about it, but maybe we will request the top floor next time.

we enjoyed our stay. very good view of sunset over the ocean from the window of our room. no road noise but the noise from the room above was a slight problem. it was very nice to have a small table and TWO chairs.

Very convenient location right of the main street. {101} Easy to find with their big sign. Convenient to shopping and restaurants. A group of us friends stayed there for the Blues fest.

It was falling apart moldy, gross, bathtub had hair, towel were so old the were almost a grey. Not sure they were washed even. Filters to air / heat were covered thick. Yuk

They advertise the Ocean view, which is a joke. You may be able to se a little glimpse of some water thru the houses and trees in the front on a lucky day when all the stars are aligned. LOL. If you are looking for an Ocean view, look somewhere else.

Loved the place, even had an ocean view from afar. Staff was wonderful. Everything was excellent, you could tell they are fixing up the place. But the towels were like rags, not sure goodwill would accept them. Clean but old, thin and gray. Would definitely come back.

Our stay was short. The room was clean, the front desk check in was fine. The room was dated and in need of updating. We checked in at 9 and did not realize the windows were open. The drapes were closed. The room was noisy and we could hear outside noise all night. We didn’t realize that the windows were open. In the morning as we were packing up to leave, my cousin tripped and fell on the warped mat outside our door. A clerk was there and saw what happened. She took the mat and threw it away. Fortunately, my cousin was not badly hurt

Small, old thin towels, dirty carpet and bedding, had to remind them to clean our room for 2nd night, pages of rules to check in plus they scan your driver ID into the system, not just look at it like other hotels after they verify who you are and after you paid. Could not sleep because you can hear the next room snoring and the boiler goes on and off all night.

The hotel is dated and could use some upgrades like newer mattress and bedding. Towels could also be replaced. Office staff was very friendly and kind. We had a beautiful view from our room.

I’m not sure How the rating is high for this hotel but it is a dump. It felt unsafe. It looked like mold under the sink.

Bed was comfortable but you could hear the people upstairs walking. The floor in the bathroom area needs replaced and the bayhroom was not very clean. Shower head wad pulling out of the wall. Towels were a dingy gray. I would not recommend this motel

There was peeling wall paper in the room, black mold in the bathroom, a gap around the room door and a general funky smell in the room. A serious lack of outlets/working outlets mare charging our phones a challenge. Also, the shower head is extremely short.

The town of Brookings is so beautiful! The hotel is unassuming but very clean. While older the view was amazing and the beds…omg the beds! The most comfortable bed ever…I was very sad to have to get out of it in the morning.

Our room was not cleaned well, a pair of pants left on the floor from people befor us and our second room had a plugged toilet that someone had plungged but did not fix so room was just left with water all over the bathroom floor when we checked in. The hotel gave our friends another room right away but 2 out of 2 rooms not cleaned well is not a good sign.

Right off highway as you enter from the north; very convenient

The driving entrance felt unsafe as it was right off a busy road and the exit and entrance lanes were reversed. You could not see the arrows until you were already on the property. The bed had a slippery, noisy mattress cover that interfered with sleeping. The shower head was mounted just over 5 feet off the ground, which was annoying for me, and even more so for my 6'5" husband. It seemed a little pricey since there wasn't even a breakfast or pool.

This is a good motel for an overnight stay. But I wouldn’t stay long term. The service was good and the staff was nice and friendly. There is a view of the ocean from the parking lot Beds were comfortable. Room was clean. I would stay again if passing through

Older coastal hotel that needs repair/updated. The locks were broken on the windows, so unable to secure room. Sign put out for maid service at 7am and returned to room late evening with room exactly as we left it. I didn't mind beds not being made, but at least trash could have been emptied, amenities (coffee & cups) refilled, and clean towels would have been nice.

Barbie on the office was amazing. However the condition in our room was troubling. Towels dingy and looked like somebody used a blue dye in their hair and all the Towels were awful. TV had very little channels. Most didnt work. Went to call tne office about that, but phone didnt work. There were black curly hairs in the bathtub. Very disappointing. Would never recommend this place.
