It was a very quiet and nice hotel. The employees were very polite. The breakfast was generally good. The room was very clean, but the only problem was that the room was very small.

We were unable to sleep, the noise from the street and especially the metro streetcar that ran all night made it impossible. We were walking the Camino and needed rest, this hotel was definitely not the place to get it.

A hidden gem, located in the quaint little beachtown Portinatx. There's a small private beach right next to the hotel, and many scenic viewpoints walking distance. Loved exploring the north of the island! The hotel staff was warm and welcoming :)

We enjoyed our brief stay at Hotel Porto Mar. Although the room was a bit small for two people, it was perfectly located. Near the airport, many restaurants and a beautiful stretch of beach. The service was great, bathroom was super clean and the area was very relaxing. We loved that breakfast was included too, very nice touch.

This hotel wasn't in the most incredible location as it was in a very industrial area (shipping port) but it was close to the airport, it was clean, and the concierge was very friendly.

A nice Hotel in Good Location. Hotel main areas have been newly renovated and look very nice, but not the Guest Rooms which were quite small and needed upgrading. The breakfast was very basic and was same food choices every day. The Hotel serve breakfast only but, there are some restaurants closeby within walking distance.There is no on site parking, can pay €10 for 24 hours in a closeby parking Garage or you can find your own parking outside and behind the hotel, with some areas being free of charge and some paid. Parking spots in this area are not always easy to find.All the staff were very nice and helpful. Overall we had a nice stay and it is a Good hotel for a few nights.

Was a 3 day stay but extended for a Night. The Hotel is magnificent in appearance with the Main Reception, Bar, Reading Room & First Room Floor so alluring & presentable with a lovely retro feel. The Staff on Reception were accessible at all times including very late & Cleaning carried out a thorough tidy when required. Hotel is at the starting point of Matosinhos & a wonderful place to head out from each day.

The reception Staff were some of the friendliest and most helpful Ive come across. One young lady even took the trouble to walk home past my car to check it was parked legally , then phoned me to tell me it was okay.

The room aircon unit broke and left a huge puddle of water any of us could have fell over on by the front door. Instead of giving us a new room we were told to wait for an hour for 3 electricians to turn up, who all stood in our room for an hour with no apologies, room changes or compensation. After an hour of arguing we got given individual rooms with air cons which did not work, and looked like prison cells. Stay away at all costs.
