Need to upgrade the kitchen and bathroom

We had 2 bookings. In our first booking we stayed on the first floor. The apartment was infested with roaches. I complained and they wanted to move us to the 2nd or 3rd floor, I told her that there wasn't any need because we were checking out the following day to go to a different hotel that we had reserved for 5 days and then come back and do two more days at Bavaro Green. When we come back for our 2nd stay,they could put us on the second floor. when we came back they check us in on the third floor. The issue we had was that the AC in both rooms was sto
ser at 76 degrees. The remote control could not bring down the temperature or take the temperature up. I went to the to the reception and someone came tried to fix it and it wasn't working. She took one of the remotes and promised sending a technician but no one ever came until we checked out after 2 days.
The set of the rooms was also weird. The Masters bedroom was instead that had several beds for kids and an inside bathroom, while our room is that hot and outside bathroom.

The Office/Property Manager was notified by the night security, housekeeping, and myself that a gas leak was in my unit on the third day of my stay. I asked to be moved. She called a worker to come and examine. He turned off the gas to the stove and unplugged it. I had a refrigerator full of food. This continued for five more days. She would not move me to another unit or get someone else to fix the unit. I lost all the food because technician cutoff breaker to stove and refrigerator for two days. Water was all over the floor from the freezer defrosting. I stayed away from the unit everyday to eat out and other things. She was never in the office when I return to discuss this issue. She was not in the office when I checked out. This is the worst property manager that I had ever experienced in the DR. Common courtesy would to place me in another unit. Staying in a unit with a natural gas leak is totally unsafe for the unit and units around it. Further, the Property Manager alerted none of other tenants or owner of this gas leak. This is a major liability for the property owner(s).

I book this property online and when we got there with our 5 children which includes our 6 months old baby the place was a disaster not as advertised online. First there wasn’t anyone there to check us in, I had to wait 30 mins before someone come to the gate, second there was no elevator to get to our room we had to climb like 5 flights of stairs along with our baggage’s and children, third when we got into the apartment it was filthy and smells awful, it was suppose to be a three bedroom apartment one of the rooms were close and we couldn’t get access to it the guy who brought us to the apartment had a hammer and some other tool trying to open the door… It was shady and scary as hell we couldn’t stay here we had to take the kids and leave I had to now at 8 pm rush to find somewhere else for us to stay. The kids were tired and hungry. When we file a complain they refuse to give us a refund and told us it’s a non refundable booking and they are strict with their cancellation policy. But on the other hand they couldn’t deliver the proper service and hospitality that was promised. Worst place to book your stay!!!!!

Do not book last minute!! This property stays available to book on Expedia late at midnight but when we went there, the place is dark and no reception as they were already closed. Our taxi driver had to bang the gate to wake up the care taker only to turn us away because he didn’t have our names on his list. Let’s say that’s our fault because we booked late and as it turned out, they don’t accept late check in (we were desperate), but they should at least give our money back. But NO. unfortunately, they don’t do refund even with no service provided and Expedia can’t do anything about it! Hope this helps someone.

DO NOT RESERVE THIS PROPERTY. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY! They advertise for a certain amount a night but it actually cost more. We booked because our flight was cancelled until the next morning and needed a place to stay immediately. I booked like I normally do on Expedia and immediately called the property manager to confirm that we were on our way from the airport. She confirmed that it was ok to come and told me someone would greet us. However, upon arriving, I was asked for an additional cash deposit and my passport! Even though I showed the attendant my Expedia receipt and called the property manager again in front of him. They still wanted wanted more money and promised to return my passport in the morning! There was no way we were going to turn in our passports and pay more so we immediately left. Aside from this, we generally felt unsafe. It seemed like the attendant and taxi driver were in cahoots. The driver also overcharged us for the ride there and then to the next stop which wound up being the resort where we had stayed the previous week. I requested a refund from Expedia because we immediately left and never set foot on the property. They denied my request for a refund and I am currently disputing the charge through my bank. I REITERATE...DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE!

What we liked about this property was the pool, the view and the apartment itself, What we didn’t like was that some of the staff wasn’t friendly, Check in was a disaster, The entire building needs an upgrade, we didn’t get new towels or toilet paper each day, the batteries in the remote controls for the tv and AC were not working. The contact number on the Expedia website belongs to someone else and not the property itself. This property was not at all the way it is described on Expedia. Overall a good stay but very disappointed.

The property is amazing, it is very close to the airport and the mall, I love how I get a feel for the culture in this hotel the neighbors and other guests are also friendly, the staff is friendly as well

Be aware - no honesty - stealing people - worst ever experience. You go there believe you me , you will end up regretting it.
You come at night , the security will ask to leave your passport or to leave 3000 Pesos , promising you will get in the morning when office open since he cannot check if you paid, even presenting your receipt he will not let you. Then Morning comes the office telling you that your money will be used to clean even if you passed 4 or 5 hours or days, in my case 5 hours and I lost $40 US. Never have issues with Expedia but this Hotel has some workers team up to steal your money.

Communication was horrible! They made me pay AGAIN for my room even tho I paid for it thru Expedia. She set up transportation for me to get to the airport. I gets to the airport and he’s asking me for money, it should have been provided out at least communicated to me that it costed.

The staff is friendly. The rooms were comfortable, it was a great bargain and wonderful views of the area.I will book again next time i come to the Dom Rep. The area is quiet nice for relaxing

First of all, we didn´t receive information about Bavaro Green's taxes. Besides, we had to wait about 2 h after the check in to come into the apartament. We also kept waiting a lot of time after asking simple Itens like towels and soaps.

I like the fact that the apartment was in a quiet neighborhood and didn't get bothered by anyone. What i didn't like was the fact everytime i come something new change. I was there 12 nights and nobody cleaned room are bring clean bedding are towels. So happened i brought my own towels with me. I was charge 40 dollars said it was for cleaning nobody came to do anything. Online it says 25 cleaning fee but i was charged 40. My husband was not pleased at all. He say they charge 40 dollars and dont clean nothing. No clean lining no clean towels no toilet paper are nothing.

When you arrive at the hotel, they charge you $40 for cleaning fees (they never notify you before) and the person at the front desk is zero flexible and their only goal is to charge you the $40 fee. Additionally, when I got to my room, the first thing I found was a cockroach, old furniture and maintenance-free bathrooms.
