We were welcomed by a friendly person and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

We had room 9 which was at the front , it had views of the water and mountains. Bedroom was separate at the back of apartment which was quiet. It had a patio with table and chairs to relax watching the views. Spacious rooms, kitchen had all we needed. They let us check in early which was handy. Flat walking to town area

Akaroa is such a charming and welcoming town and we found a perfect place for our family of 5. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The grounds were perfectly kept and the location is absolutely the best! We can’t wait to come stay again.

This was the 4th motel we stayed in on our recent holiday and was by far the best. Beautifully furnished, very clean and very comfortable. Great beds and lovely clean spa bath and a shower with good water pressure. What more could we want?! Also great location - walkable - 2 mins to some delicious Akaroa eating places. We will definitely stay again - thank you.

Heater hanging out of the wall. Freezing cold windows open when we arrived. Had to go to office and get a portable heater 🙄. Lamp broken. Stained carpets. And this place go a 4.5 review. Seriously

It was a nice hotel and affordable. The sliding glass door on the ground floor was a little uncomfortable as people could see in even with the blinds. Otherwise it was a nice place.

The room was classed as Deluxe/Honeymoon Room certainly wouldn’t say that myself. The bathroom window had a hole from rot, the tap for the shower inside down and around the window looks like could be rot with mould on the window.
I know the above sounds awful, but more positives than negative - the bed was comfy as, we had a wee couch to sit on for watching tv or reading. A little table for eating if you don’t dine at one of the fabulous eateries in Akaroa. The room was tidy and clean and comfortable. Will certainly stay there again.

Reception - not much personality there. Very convenient complex, well maintained, mostly clean and tidy. Only issue was the lack of towels, two clients, but only one hand/face towel. Rubbish bin in cupboard needs some attention. Carpet needs some cleaning.
No instruction as to what to do with key at end of booking so just left it in the room.

It is conveniently located in the center of leisure walking to shops and restaurants. A beautiful spot in the Banks Peninsula.

Nice place to stay, but very poor wi-fi! Very irritating if you want to keep up with relatives or make some work-related issues.
It was an important issue for us so we would not recommend this place.
When arriving - a person in the reception with hardly no experience of English…not so good when you want to ask for advice on your stay and surroundings!

No problems with cleanliness. Some of the fittings in the unit were in need of repair - particularly a faulty electric plug which did not comply with electrical regulations

The stay and accommodation was good, a little tired, the room could do with having A bit of a spruce up and the Venetian blinds needed replacing. Sky wasn’t working and the tv wasn’t user friendly so couldn’t use other than Netflix. Definitely needed aircon in the heat and there wasn’t any.
Staff were very friendly and the stay was overall pretty good and comfortable. Thank you.

The room was clean and spacious. Thè reception at checkin was a simple fill out the form and take the key. During the night there was a noicy party arriving, woke everyone up, not the hotels fault but made for a short nights sleep.

Shower was broken - very disappointing. I hope it has been fixed for future guests.
No maps of the area were available at checkin and little information was available on local activities. I would have liked an Akaroa street map and information on the Giant's Garden, the museum and harbour cruises. But none of this was available.

Fantastic place to stay, staff Fantastic, we enjoyed the closeness to many areas wharf, Eateries, also must mention the best fish and chip shop Kaimoana directly accross the road there Battered Mussels are huge and delicious, will Definitely be staying again.

Sorry guys but your unit was below standard. Yes great location and was clean but basic stuff like cupboard in front of microwave broken and had to hold door up when used, shower rail stuck high, jug wont turn off automatically, heating below par for early winter stay as unit got cold during the night, toilet seat lid cracked. Easy stuff to fix but suspect has been like that for a while.
