The other guests were noisy (particularly above) were extreme noisy late at night when my 2x young daughters & I were trying to sleep after me driving all day & needing to drive the following day.

This motel like many others in small towns and rural areas in Australia is quite old and hard to modernise. So room and bathroom are small and facilities hard to equate with 21st cent expectations. However the room as very clean, seemed freshly painted and we enjoyed a very comfortable kingsized bed. There are no meals available but there is a tavern next door . The manager /proprietor was very pleasant and welcoming on our rather late arrival. Traffic noise was bearable at night .

I found the staff very friendly and helpful, it's not one of the newest motel's around but it is well kept and very clean. I've had two visits to the Chaparral and both times I had a good experience.

Beds were good, staff good. The room was nice and warm without need of the air con which at 22 deg was still hot. The chain lock for the door is on back the front so when you open the door it falls out. The fan in the bathroom sounded like a jet plane. The iron was broken. Very slow microwave.

The service and room were excellent. Yes it is an older motel but it has been very well renovated. The king size bed was very very comfortable. The only negative is the parking... if you have a larger 4 wheel drive the parking is very tight and if there are trucks parked it becomes very hard to get in and out. But I still 100% staying at this motel.
