Lovely stay at Yankee Peddler for two nights while we visited Newport. Easy check-in, cute rooms, front desk were very helpful in resolving our heating issue and on-hand to answer any questions we had. Continental breakfast was standard with cereal options, muffins/pastry, oatmeal and fruit (I'm there for the fruit) and available for a good duration. Rooms could use a new mattress and new sheets (getting a bit old). Can't beat the location as it's a short 4 min walk around the corner to the main downtown street of Newport.

Very pleasant stay. Different than a motel. Newport is lovely.

Close to Bellevue and downtown

pleasant stay in a convenient spot. The walls are pretty thin so we were disturbed by groups of people on our floor coming and going. The shower didn't drain very well. Other than those 2 issues, nice property

The area and location was very good. The room was clean but needed some updating. The bathroom was tiny. I don't think the room was worth the price.

It was very nice overall

Overall excellent experience, beautiful place historic neighborhood within walking distance of most attractions and restaurants. Staff were helpful and friendly with the exception of one woman on Tuesday morning who must have woke up on the wrong side of the bed. She glared at me when I told her we needed toilet paper. Eventually our room was made up and it was fine.

walkable around town. Good if you stay for one or two nights. Good Continental breakfast. Big enough closet, no iron or light in closet. No counter space in bathroom.

The staff was extremely helpful throughout our stay and there were many amenities within the property. The room itself was dusty and there were many insects and webs around the corners of the room when we checked in. The corners of the room and walls could have been dusted and vacuumed. Otherwise, we had a great stay and we would stay again.

Absolutely loved our stay at the inn! The carriage house was adorably quaint, parking was easy, location was unbeatable and Alicia was so helpful upon checking in. Will absolutely come back soon!

Lovely one night stay.

It was clean and very convenient to all the restaurants and activities. The staff was extremely friendly.

First time to Newport. We chose this property based on location/cost. Once parked we walked into town for lunch/dinner sightseeing. We stayed in the carriage house. Room was small but adequate. Shower is small. This is to be expected when converting a property into a small Inn. Meg at the front desk was very helpful. Breakfast was included. The warm cookies in the afternoon were a treat!

It was clean, nothing fancy, but served our purpose of a place to stay for the night. I liked the Carriage House where our room was. Not many stairs and very quiet. The bathroom was good size and well stocked with everything you would need, The room itself was cozy and comfortable.

3 of us planned to run a 10 mile race in Newport and we are so happy we stayed at the Yankee Peddler Inn. Clean, quiet, cozy, a great little kitchen near the front desk, and super nice people who manage the inn. It is a quick walk to the downtown area and shore. Parking (as it is for the entire town of Newport) is tight, but adequate and they have a good system for making it work! I am hoping to visit again soon as I’d like to see more of Newport in nice weather!

Great location, quiet rooms and a very nice rooftop deck to wind down for the day

The Inn was quaint and welcoming. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was great. Bed was very comfortable. The only thing that could have been better is if the room had more space to hang our clothing and had towel bars in the bathroom. The rooftop deck was a lovely space adorned with pretty flowers and a nice place to relax and have your morning coffee or a cocktail in the evening. The freshly baked chocolate chip cookies offered to guests is a homey touch!!

First off, great location. Very close to Thames and pretty central for walking anywhere in Newport. Older place but clean and well kept. Very friendly staff. Our room was not very big and was really just a good place to sleep, not hang out. Continental breakfast was pretty basic. Would recommend if you are looking for a bed & breakfast place.

Newport is a terrific place to visit, this is a great place to stay to do it. Breakfast buffet excellent, bed comfy, parking no problem. Jolly good.

A nice place to stay for a night.

Quaint, clean, easy walk to shops, wharf, activities. Old building maintains its historic ambience, while it’s adapted to serve the needs and building codes of today. The breakfast included with your stay rounds out the enjoyable experience. It was convenient to park our rental car in the property’s back lot, but the spaces are tight.

Close to everything in town, walkable.

Yankee Peddler was a quaint cozy inn. The staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful. The flowers in the hall smelled wonderful. We stayed in room #8. The room was large and comfortable, very small bathroom, but it's an historic home. Breakfast was a great way to start the day. Location was centrally located. The parking was fine, not bad as I read in the reviews. One note: The inn is at the top of the hill. Rather a steep walk if you have an issue walking up hill, or with stairs. About the area: I highly recommend to everyone, rent a Smuggler ( like a go cart...across from Red Parrot) we rented one our first day, it was a fun way to ride along Ocean drive, past the mansions, thru all the little areas, great way to see where every things located before you start walking. Thank you to the staff of the Peddler for making our stay so nice.

It was comfortable room- tough climb to top(30 steps up) would be difficult for a lot of people. Staff was super friendly and helpful-breakfast was great. All in all a great stay- perfect location- walkable to so many things+ easy free trolly most of the year.

Quaint little in

We had the best experience at Yankee Peddler. We were traveling on a whim and found this spot. Super cute, super accommodating, and super friendly. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the onsite and rooftop patio. We will likely go back just for that. The Inn is within walking distance of the waterfront and other areas.
