Great hotel, friendly staff, good location and the food was superb, will definitely be back

I was in Swindon to visit Marlborough and Avebury, but Marlborough was full due to the solstice celebration. Swindon had the rail station and The White Hart turned out to be a better choice than the Marlborough hotels, although there was the inconvenience of bus and infrequent Uber service. Still, the pub was very nice, the food good, the room pristine and comfortable, and the staff very friendly. Recommended if you’re passing through Swindon.

Very impressed with my stay here. I dont often leave reviews but my stay on business was well above average. Modern, clean, large rooms. Friendly staff, great food at the pub including superb breakfast. I will be staying again.

Unfortunately I had issues with the toilet flush not being good enough to remove a couple of sheets, the issue did not improve. Did not sleep due to light coming in under the door until it properly went off around midnight, there were noises like creaks and tapping which went on for several hours (similar to when my central heating goes off in the winter) and the bed seemed to be 2 pushed together as it felt like the end of a mattress in the middle of the bed which was uncomfortable, then the anxiety of the toilet. Did mention the toilet situation and was informed they checked it and all was ok, seemingly a miracle had occurred! Positive note, breakfast was nice.

I found this place on hotels.com and was not disappointed at all. Really friendly, clean and the breakfast was great. This is good value for money and most of all they also have EV Charging points which is a massive bonus. Thanks for the hospitality we will definitely be back again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had an excellent 3 night stay at The White Hart. Very helpful staff. Great accommodation clean and quiet. The rooms are of a good size and well maintained. Breakfast was good with a good variety of choice, as was the evening meal we had too. I would definitely used The White Hart again.

Great accommodation!

The room was fine very clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the Wi-Fi wasn’t working properly in the accommodation. I had to sit in bar to use Wi-Fi to send emails. Bars are for relaxing, which I did, not working.

Great place. Great staff. Good food in the restaurant. Convenient location. Would recommend and stay there again.

I stayed at The White Hart while on a business trip to the Oxford/Swindon area. I cannot say enough about this wonderful inn and its kind, accommodating staff. My room was clean and comfortable, and I felt very much at home there. It also was very convenient to have The White Hart gastropub right there for my delicious breakfast and evening meals. I would gladly come back to The White Hart on future travel, either for business or pleasure (the Cotswold and all its beauty is right there), and would confidently recommend it to others.

Great place to stay if you are ever in or near Swindon. The only mark down i would give is the shower gel and shampoo smell awful. Bring your own!

It is always cosy, relaxing, clean and comfortable.

Really good value, convenient location for us, surprisingly quiet. We had no problem parking. It well signed, outside and in. Helpful, courteous, cheerful staff. A spacious room (a little cool at first). Decent, tasty dinner ( not inc) Lovely breakfast (inc) Would recommend the White Hart..👍

Excellent all round. Friendly staff, cosy room and a good breakfast choice. Easy access to major roads. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Room 24 and the bathroom were cold even after I switched on the electric wall heater in the room. Everything else was fine.

Rooms were lovely,big and clean, bed comfortable, food from the restaurant was very reasonably priced and a good range of meals to choose from

Well this weekend could not have been better. The room was spotless, the food in the restaurant was excellent and the staff were lovely. We met a lady at breakfast who had stayed here 10 times before as she had family who were local. We will certainly stay here again. Had a fabulous time.

What a great Inn and pub! We made Swindon our hub for 6 days and did day trips throughout southwest England. We had a car so everything was easily accessible. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The included breakfast was great. We returned to the pub most nights for dinner. Well run, Great pub food with a very local feel.

Very nice property.

Nice double room very clean. Easy check in. The best part was the full english breakfast included. It was delicious and the server was so kind, with a big morning smile.

Very clean and tidy rooms, large bathroom also. Breakfast was included and the hitniotions cooked to a high standard. Will stay here again when next in area

The room was a good size , and the breakfast was lovely, all the staff were very helpful.

Lovely accommodation block separate to the pub and surprisingly quiet given its location just off A419. Spacious, well-equipped room, modern bathroom and without fail, all the staff I came into contact in the pub with were friendly, efficient and helpful. The pub itself was welcoming. Breakfast was included with my stay - unfortunately I didn’t do it justice as I was going on to meet friends for brunch a little later. As an aside, I am a super sensitive coeliac but no-one made me feel a nuisance for asking questions re gluten free status of things/how they were prepped etc - and I ate safely with no ill effects. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again next time I’m in the area.

Booked a couple of double rooms for Mum and myself. Both rooms were lovely and big with nice comfortable beds. Had a very nice nights sleep and lovely breakfast in the morning. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Will stay there again when in the area. Only slight down was the one of the lights wasn't working and the shower is hard to turn off but those are only minor quibbles!
