Sunway Lagoon Hotel is my go-to Kuala Lumpur accommodation due its convenience of location, the friendliness and professionalism of the staff, and its value.

Convenient to get around the area for food and shopping

Breakfast buffet for 88 ringetts was mediore at best. I felt totally ripped out in terms of value for having my laundry done at the hotel What cost me $5 in Bali cost me $63 at this hotel. This is outrageous and I do not plan to stay here again because of it.

Property was beautiful and overlooking the water park. Attached to a big mall with lots of dining options. Absolutely loved our stay.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Very clean and refreshing, with floral scent throughout the lobby to welcome guests. Rooms and corridors extremely clean and looks new. Mall just next door, very convenient. Definitely will stay here again in the near future.

Best thing is the hastle free & strong wifi in the entire resort (hotels, shopping mall, restaurants, theme park).

Clean environment and good service

This was the perfect mid-range priced hotel connected to the Sunway mall for us. Perhaps more expensive than others in the area of course, but you get what you pay for. The room was exceptionally large, the bed was comfortable, and all of the amenities were included! Keyed access to go to different floors of the hotel. The pool though was a disappointment (February) as it hadn't been cleaned and was rife with algae. But atleast we were able to layout and get some sunlight. The Breakfast Buffet wasn't within our budget, but we went to the local places to eat within the mall instead, which was just fine. Easy ride-share pickup. Nice staff. The place looked and smelled clean. It's nice to be able to access all of the Subway properties in one place, without having to take a taxi everywhere. You simply walk. I would definitely stay here again!

The room was well cleaned and comfortable. Considering the transfer station, it was easier to travel by Grab than by bus or train.

Staff are quite unperturbed and unaccomodating. Need to learn to speak English for English speaking guests. And need to smile more and be welcoming.

Loved it. Everything you want is close to you. The room is clean and comfortable. The water park is so fun and amazing The mall is soon good. Highly recommend this hotel!

Clean hotel, not answering emails nor calls, all staff especially front desk not cooperatve at all, all staff not smiling, we reserved for honeymoon, but I think better to reserve in an other hotel,

Excellent location. Hotel staff friendly and accommodating. Breakfast buffet was good with a big selection of different foods. Rooms are modern and spacious. Adjacent to the mall so lots of shopping and dining options. Wifi is strong and super easy to connect. Overall I had a great stay and would stay here next time I am in KL.

Convenient to move around tru walk shopping malls

The shower drainage back flowed but was quickly rectified. Location is great but the carpark is expensive.

Unexpectedly bad attitude and services. No service languages at front desk nor restaurant. My package wasn’t included a breakfast and when i was walking in the restaurant they have checked their list and sent me in, so i would have expected they knew. While i was eating, 3 staffs! 3 staffs came to me at different time just to tell me my package was not including breakfast. Seriously? I have already said I knew the first time. FINE! When i was leaving the restaurant the staff stopped me rudely and commanded me to pay on spot. Never in my life of travelling all these years around the world been asked to pay for a meal with this terrible manner!! Alright, fine, i was going to pay cos I wasn’t going to go back anyway. That’s when I realised the price of the breakfast was not the same as what was mentioned on the Expedia description. So i showed the staff my booking details and wanted them to double check. And that staff just said “this is what we going to charge” and not willing to double check at all. Fine, was thinking may be the restaurant staff didn’t know how to check on that. So I paid without further discussion and got down to chat with the front desk staff. Interestingly saying, they literally told me to check with Expedia on my own because they would never charge their breakfast this price. What? So it became my responsibility that you guys didn’t communicate well on what supposed to be selling on a platform? Honestly, not recommended this hotel! That is.

Comfortable stay.

The place was very clean. It’s a nice facility. However, the bell person took advantage of us with the car transfer from the hotel to our new hotel in Bukit Bintang, the Dorsett Kuala Lumpur. The staff negotiated 90 rm but Grab stated it was only 26 rm. We had not learn how to use Grab at that time. We expected the hotel staff to be fair and not take advantage of our ignorance. It was our first time in KL, Malaysia.

Check in was easy and fast. Surprised that they do not provide complementary parking. Charge is RM15 per day.

1. The rooms were sufficiently large for 3 adults. Had we known, we could have just booked a room instead of two. 2. The super-king bed was firm and comfortable, however, the bedding tends to be "warm" towards the early morning - it disrupts a good night rest. We had the room temp set at 17deg C, yet constantly waking up. The bedding material is perhaps unsuitable for Malaysian environment. 3. The proximity to Sunway Pyramid is a huge plus, with shops and food within close reach.

Room is comfortable and glad to have a room available on my early arrival at the hotel. Room was not cleaned daily and amenity not replenished though have put up signage to have it clean. On departure the 1 day advance booked Taxi with confirm price raised when taxi arrived, due to "Peak Hours" but the booking time already confirm in advance without informing it was a "Peak Hours".
