Everyone was so friendly - you can’t beat the front desk and FRANKLIN in the bar. They all deserve a raise!

The hotel itself is very nice. Our room was clean and comfy. However...I reserved a King room. I was given a room with two doubles. Nothing was said by the young man who checked me in about the room switcharoo. No, I did not lodge a complaint. We were tired and hungry and did not feel like dealing with the desk clerk again. He had an uncaring attitude. Likewise for the bartender. We wanted to avail ourselves of the Happy Hour Burger special. He told us all he had was wings and fries and if we wanted anything other than that we should drive across the street. Not much there, mostly shopping. We found a place nearby using Yelp. The staff seems like they really don't like working there.

Checking in was straightforward, though the receptionist could have been a bit more friendly—perhaps they’d had a long day. The room was clean, but the layout was unusual with the bed positioned in front of the bathroom. It’s possible I may have chosen the wrong room. Overall, it was a positive experience.

Service mindset not existing - seemed like employees in the lobby were sleeping. Room was not clean and the breakfast setting a disaster. Been to other Springhill suites and this one is by far the lowest rated.

Property was very clean and modern. Our room was next to an event room. It got booked at the last minute so they were kind enough to give us a new room. My only complaint is with the first room and second room you could hear loud music that was coming from the patio where the fire pits were until 11:00 p.m. also we could hear the people/kids jumping in the room above us. Did not really get good sleep either night we stayed. IF I was to stay at the us location again I would want a room facing the parking lot.

Place is ok .Staff is ok. Heard bang (Loud sound ) around 2 out of 3 nights around 11 pm owards .Water is coming out back from bath sinks from both rooms. Pay 3k plus for 3 nights for 2 rooms very low value for money .

Checked in staff was nice. We arrived before 3pm, and our room was ready. Beds and pillows were comfortable. The room was spacious. Great amenities, free breakfast was delicious.

I like the room, it fit my family perfectly, it was noisy at night you can hear people walking on the above floor, I didn’t get an ocean view room as it was booked.

It was generally comfortable. At night, I was on the third floor, but there was quite a lot of noise from the fourth floor.

The staff from the time we checked in to the time we checked out, the staff was courteous & kind. On the day we we’re going to check out, both the elevators broke! We were on the fourth floor & I am disabled, stairs would have been a problem. Vinecia at the front desk assured us that the elevators would be fixed & she told us that we could take our time checking out (check out is at noon). We were ready to leave at 12:30 & the elevators were working! Thank you very much Springhill by Marriott! We will definitely stay again when visiting Monterey!

I like that it was so close to a shopping plaza and Target, but I didn’t like the breakfast options not really very much to choose from and I was also disappointed when I requested for a room with a view they weren’t able to accommodate that.

Great place. Would stay here again and felt it exceeded the cost we paid for one night. Room was spacious with a nice desk area to work at. USB plugs everywhere.
My only negative was the shower head was horrible along with the pressure but it could be beach towns sometimes have heavy regulations on how much water they can use.
