I enjoyed my stay at the recently renovated Sanctuary Beach Resort! This was my fifth visit to this lovely facility. The staff kindly welcomed me, and they even had my room ready earlier than the scheduled checking in time. I got an upgrade too! The room fixtures, furnishing, and bathroom updates were much needed and it is great to see the investment being poured into the property. The nightly bonfires are amazing! For a good dinner, you should visit Salt Wood or order room service. Robert was also a great guy. He was so welcoming and send me home feeling happy about my overall stay. I will surely be returning! My doggie approves!

We had a fantastic time! Everyone was courteous and very helpful. Restaurant had spectacular food. Can’t beat the views and accommodations.

Perfect for time away from the city - catch up on sleep and finish that book! And all while listening to the sounds of the waves. We spent three lovely nights in an ocean view suite. The bed was so comfortable that we’re trying to purchase one for home! The staff was great and even made our cat feel welcome.

I proposed on the beach at sunset with a private bonfire experience. The entire staff including the manager, front desk, servers, host and bellmen made our whole experience magical. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

The property itself is beautiful, with gorgeous views of the beach, the rooms have been recently updated and are modern and fresh. The outer portion of the hotel and surrounding buildings could use more of an update, the brown and green paint make it look old and dreary, pool was mediocre for a 4 star hotel, the pool furniture was old and dirty. The food was delicious, we ordered breakfast to the room and it was great. Presentation in the room was delightful, everything came securely in an adorable picnic basket. In all we enjoyed our stay but the weather ruined our trip as we wanted to enjoy the beach with our young children, weather was cold, cloudy and windy, I recommend checking the weather in advance before booking or you’ll be sadly disappointed like me. Staff stated that the cold, cloudy, weather was normal this time of year for the area, I wish I would have done more research as the beach is a HUGE reason I booked a stay at the resort on the beach, sigh.

It's our new "go to" place. Facilities are amazing. Pool, the restaurant, the elevated beach front area to watch the waves. The view is amazing. The room is perfect. It has the beach house feel. The bed is very comfortable, and the sheets and pillows are very soft. The bathroom is clean and the whole suite is very well designed. I love the balcony overlooking the ocean. The service is great- they are all very nice and service oriented. Wished we had more time to stay longer. We will be back for sure! A perfect place to relax!

Our cottage was freshly painted, and the paint smell is still pretty strong. Also, the shower wasn’t draining properly.

This resort has been on my list for a long time after following their IG account. I booked my entire road trip around a 2 night stay at this hotel. Bonus points as they were pet friendly. We booked an ocean front king with a patio. First, the room was perfect! The fenced in patio with 2 Adirondack chairs facing the ocean was magical. Our pups names on the dog bowls and treats was a nice touch. We had a nice dinner at Salt Wood. However, for the price I was extremely disappointed that we weren’t given any notice of the o going construction occurring on property. I appreciate they are making improvement tan but walking through the “resort” Among all the workers felt like a construction site, not a beach getaway yellow caution tape, paint cans, vehicles, landscapers, noise, was rediculous. We paid a hefty price to bring our 2 dogs and the pet relief area was closed die to construction according to a staff member and the area we were shown to use was a dirt field full of stickers/burrs. The only grass on property belonged to the time share units that share the property but posted signage everywhere indicated not to enter with a pet. Another bummer was that our room was directly behind the hotel’s beach sitting area where guests can sot in chairs around Fire pits for sunset. However, guests sit on the beach all day smoking away. Be prepared to wake up and see guests in their bathrobes, chatting loudly on their phones while dragging on their smokes. So disappointing!

This place is amazing, and our only regret was we weren't able to stay longer! It is right on the beach, with amazing views. The hotel really allows you to take advantage of the location, whether it's watching the sun set, falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean, or enjoying the comfortable chairs and fire pits right on the beach. The restaurant was great. We enjoyed wonderful service. The entire experience was a perfect start to what was our honeymoon. We'll be back!
