The property located near the temple where they conduct daily ceremonies late evening and there is a lot of loud noise/ loud music after 10 pm and continue to midnight . The food has is very limited choices. The room had only one towel ( bath), you have to ask for face towel, and the room had only 3 cloth hangers. The room did not have any mirrors, except in the dark bathroom , where the lights were dimmed.

Very nice hotel in the middle of Ubud but in a small street so it was very quiet location. Easy walking distance to everything-ridge,palace,monkey forest, massages.

I stayed 8 nights at The Batu Empug Cottages & thoroughly enjoyed my time. The staff are all so friendly, responsive & helpful. The hotel is thankfully off the very busy Main Street of Ubud but within a very short walk from so many things like the many restaurants of Ubud, The Monkey Forest, Palace & a beautiful walk through the rice fields. Lucky bonus - the owners son’s wedding occurred during my stay and all hotel patrons were invited to attend. Great time, great hotel… I’d definitely stay here again.

Awesome central location. Easy to walk to stores and restaurants. The room was spacious and the staff was welcoming and friendly. It’s an older hotel but it’s been kept up nicely and the pool was very refreshing for a night dip. Would certainly stay here again.

We really enjoyed our time at Batu Empug Cottages, the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. We loved how close it was to lots of great restaurants and main streets. The pool was great as was the breakfast.

We had a very pleasant stay here! The room was clean and quiet. The pool and gardens area was beautiful. The staff were so kind and accomodating and let us have our room early. The bathroon exhaust wasn't the strongest however, and we did see one cockroach in the bathroom. So that area could have been a bit cleaner!

This is close to everything you need, but just far away to be quiet. Lovely pool and staff very helpful and nice, can highly recommend.

Batu Empug Cottages is a small hotel but neat and clean with fabulous and helpful staff. It is conveniently located in quiet laneway not far from the markets and dining places. Yoga studios are a 5 minute walk away.
The pool is clean with towels provided. A small cafe on site makes wonderful local dishes and serves drinks and snacks pool side.
I will most definitely stay here again.

The hotel was so beautiful, serene and cozy. It’s centrally located in Ubud and there are so many good food options that are within a walkable distance. Even though it’s located in a busy area, the street it’s on is quiet and this gives a relaxed feel to the hotel. The rooms were clean and the staff were very hospitable. We loved our stay at Batu Empug cottages. Highly recommended!!

Clean and spacious room. 10-15 min walking distance from ubud central. Breakfast was nice and could be delivered to room. The most amazing thing about the hotel was the staff. They were all super friendly and helpful. The only thing that can be improved is that the hair dryer is a bit weak.

The property is a real gem. Located on a quiet side street near the city center and everything that you may need in Ubud: restaurants (including vegan), bars, sites, shops, boutiques, spas, yoga studios (10min walk to Yoga Barn), etc. The hotel is quiet, very clean, well-maintained, with pool and beautiful garden. Staff is wonderful and always ready to help.

The bathroom did not match the the room. Should have had a brown or warmer colored floor instead of black. The fluorescent lighting made the room even more stark instead of warm.
All the fluorescent lights were too bright.
Breakfast was delightful.

First let me say I travel a lot as I was a flight Attendant for many years and stayed in many hotels and I would definitely recommend Batu Empug Cottages the staff there are very friendly out going and attentive with all your needs and the breakfast was fresh every morning and very delicious ...I would definitely stay here again!!

We were pleasantly surprised at the serenity of the area.The hotel is small; quiet and comfortable, but like many others in Bali, although the grounds are very attractive it is often a competition for lounges and shade around the pool

We had a very lovely stay at
Batu Empug. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the location is close to Ubud Center, but still in a nice and calm neighborhood. The rooms a spacious and cozy with a nice balcony facing the beautiful garden & pool area.
If there was anything negative to say, we had a minor ant situation in our room, but would for sure chose this hotel again.

I stayed here for one night and was very satisfied with my experience. Clean room, super friendly staff. They clearly care about patrons and try their best to make it a happy stay. They allowed me to pay extra for a late check out. Would definitely stay here again.

Staff were very pleasant. Room was spacious and attractive. We had an unfortunate occurrence when we checked in as our prepaid room had been cancelled in error. We were able to sort this out by contacting Expedia. Appears to have been some misunderstanding. Hotel was about a 5 minute walk from shops and restaurants. While at this hotel we were privileged to observre the preparations for a wedding celebration being held at the hotel and were kindly invited to join the guests for a meal. That was such a highlight of our trip.

The staff were so delightful, happy and very helpful to your needs.A lovely stay from arriving to departure.The only thing I would add would be the need for more electrical socket points.
