Great location: close to the beach, but quiet. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful. 50m swimming pool to relax and cool down.

Beautiful place and great location. I recommend this hotel as it was perfect for the stay. Be disappointed as I wanted the suite but wasn’t allowed it for some reason. Great stay however

Everything i needed was with in 5 minute walk. 7-11, food, bars, lurndry ect. About 750 metres walk to the beach. Will be staying at saugar marina hotel again next time I'm back in Ao Nang

When I arrived at the hotel I've created by a lovely member of the staff who informed me that normally I would have to check in at 15:00 but because I think he saw I was tired. She let me check in early this was excellent customer service

Acceptable bedroom with nice balcony. 10 minutes walk to the beach so it was fairly quiet. Restaurants near the hotel were never too crowded. Good price for a room

I can highly recommend this hotel. Staff were kind and helpful. Pools were big enough to actually do some lap's. Breakfast was good and i did not hear neighbours at any time, so nice and come own rooms with clean facilities. Only negative was that the building next door is under a renovation, but that's not hotels fault.

Nice hotel was a pool room but water very cold til late afternoon when sun gets around onto it the gym isn’t really a gym but a running machine room lol

Good location

This place is a bit further up from the beach, but that's a good thing. It was amazingly quiet which was most welcome as the previous three nights we had a room in a hotel above a bar. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, had all the amenities I needed. The pool was refreshing and the breakfast buffet was one of the best on this trip. Would return here again if I happen to pass this way again.

Staff was not friendly, an hour, and 15 minute late check in, no lotion in the rooms, upon check out, had to wait for maid to go to the room, and then try to say that I broke the blow dryer, which was not true. Liked that a beach mat and towels in a handy beach bag were in each room. Very nice pool as well. breakfast in the hotel for ฿350 was just OK, better to eat at some of the breakfast cafés down the street.

Pros: - good location: located on the main road, about a ten minute walk from the beach. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the beach but still walkable. - hotel looked like it was fairly new and the rooms were modern - two free bottles of water per day, good WiFi Cons: - bathroom was SUPER dark. I have never been in a bathroom that felt like a cave before. - we booked the cheapest room (cliff view) but it was facing the busy street which was loud. Technically there was a cliff that we could see, but I would have preferred a quieter room. I thought cliff view would be quiet haha. - located on a very steep hill, if you have any mobility issues this is not a good hotel choice for you

Loved our stay at Sugar Marina. Very clean rooms, excellent service, great location and wonderful pool. Would recommend.

Excellent hotel in a very convenient location. Lovely cliffside view. Clean and spacious room. Balcony has chairs and table which is good. No wardrobe in the room but benches to put your baggage on. Has small fridge and safe. Bathroom has sliding door so not sound proof. Nice pool area on the first floor and small gym on third floor.

Had the one bedroom unit. Never again. The bathtub is on the balcony and while it has plumbing, can NOT be used. This is same for the other unit in this category. This is NOT a jetted tub. They use the word “jetted” as in dry docked. On the balcony as decoration. Staff member dropped my duty free bag upon arrival breaking an expensive item. Barely an apology.

Big room with a very comfortable bed! Everything was clean and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was simple but adequate. Lots of places to eat/drink within walking distance. On the whole we enjoyed our stay, although I would suggeat that the hotel tries to find an alternative to providing water in plastic bottles every day.

The hotel is carved onto the side of a cliff with the theme throughout hotel of rock climbing. Unique! Good breakfast with cook to fix eggs at your request. We had a room that had a view of street life and huge rock mountain range. Good restaurants/bars nearby. Our room had a tub on outside deck that we could not use as water faucets were not working. Shower room modern and clean.

It was a very nice stay but being an ex hotelier, I saw many small things that were not being maintained from window washing to dead plants and weeds. If these things are looked after it would have been even better.

First room we had was no closet asked for another room ,we could get one by paying €130 extra ,we did.that room was ok but overal not very clean .twice they didn’t come to clean and we had to ask.WiFi wasn’t working in the room and television had 2 Thai nets and 1 not working euronews

Room was clean and modern. Beds were a bit hard but ok for me. Breakfast was very good and convenient. Pool was small but did the trick. The hotel overall is good. Only negative was the area at the back (where building #2 is) looked like an unfinished construction zone.

Like the great people of Thailand this hotel is beyond pleasing expectations, quick check in and out, helpfull and welcoming. Though listed as a 4 star hotel you are receiving 3 star amenities, the room has a spectacular view.

We had a poolside room in the building next to the cliff. Very clean, pool was lovely, had a view of the cliffs and the water from our patio. Great breakfast buffet - lots of different options all well prepared. Hotel is off the main drag in Ao Nang, but it is set back so it feels like you are out of the hustle. Lots of useful things in the room - beach towels and mats and umbrellas and robes and more. Very happy with our stay.

Good location,easy get good foods just a walking distance

Friendly staff from the beginning to the end, the area was quiet and we had access from the street to our room making it very easy to get in and out. The rooms were excellent providing beach towels and flip flops for the pool as well as umbrellas for those rainy days! I will book again! The staff at breakfast was very accommodating and the spread was great! Thanks again an hope too soon!

Hotels should be obliged to tell potential guests that there is another hotel being built alongside. The 12 hour a day banging was ridiculous, and on top of that the construction site overlooks the pool area and offers little privacy from workers on the site. The breakfast was disappointing after reading good reviews, the coffee was tasteless and the food was cold the heating plates were mostly unplugged. The pool access room did not have a pool ladder and guests from non pool access rooms were occupying the area, the children could not access the pool safely. No guard on the property in the evening. The bar was closed and breakfast was served in another building accessed by two elevators and stairs. On the plus side the beds were large and comfortable, the staff were few but pleasant.
