The hotel was wonderful. Super clean and spacious rooms. I would absolutely stay here any time I had to travel to La Crosse. It might have been the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Staff was incredibly nice and helpful. Loved our stay! Perfection!!

We stayed here on the way to the Twin Cities. It was very conveniently located on the main road through Lacrosse and easy to find. The desk staff were very friendly and the rooms nice and clean. It feels more like a 3 star rather than 2 1/2.

Really appreciated the friendly check-in staff! The property and room were fine. A bit noisy with traffic next to the room but have since learned you can ask for a room on the parking lot side. Nice breakfast.

The room was neat and quiet. The daily breakfast was satisfactory. The snacks for sale showed a wide variety. While the room was totally satisfactory, they need to clean under the refrigerator more often.

My first floor room was only about two sidewalk widths away from a busy street. The bed was horribly uneven, and there was no comfortable seating in the room with good lighting next to it. It made relaxing in the room in the evening evening after a busy day very difficult.

This was our first stay at Gundersen Hotel and Suites. We had a positive experience except for the street noise throughout the night when we were trying to sleep. There must be some kind of sound proofing that can be installed. Otherwise it was a perfect experience for my husband and me.

Pleasantly surprised with our stay. We just needed a spot to stay for the night…wasn’t looking for any specific amenities, just a place to lie our heads at night. Turns out this property has been completely renovated, great breakfast, pool, exercise room, small convenience market. Definitely will stay again.

Best hotel for the money so far this year
Nice breakfast of potatoes, eggs and ham in addition to the usual waffles, cereal etc. complimentary coffee tea and soda 24 hrs. ( no complimentary booze)

Hotel staff was friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was very good. Hotel is newer, hall ways are clean, rooms are very large. This hotel is owned by the hospital across the street, so a lot of room are handicap accessible, even our room had large door ways for wheel charis. The only thing we didnt like was the beds. Both our beds were very worn, you coukd feel the divets from where everyone slept on the beds. Also my had s metal pc sticking out from the side of the frame.

Had to ask for more towels as the shower nozzle kept squirting out the back side of the shower by the sink and i had to use all the towels to clean it up. Also there was a kid pool party the night we arrived, so we couldnt use the pool until after 7pm...which was too late for our kids.

Wow! Our room was large and its condition was outstanding. The common areas are excellent and breakfast was great. The front desk staff was terrific. I recommend it to everyone!
