Great location. Wonderful for walking. Our room was nice but we had to keep the a/c off due to how loud it was, too loud to keep it on & sleep. It sounds like a blow dryer going on and off next to the bed. So we werevery comfortable...

Went for an anniversary. Prior to even going into the hotel. There’s was no available parking at all. Had to park about a 3 streets away from Hells Kitchen. Arrived to the Hotel to check in I tried to cancel my reservation since my wife also booked. They told me to contact the third party that I booked with to do so. When I called they told me it was taken care of. Next morning had a called from the front desk and they wanted to charge us again for a room that was already paid for. Card was ran multiple times. Needless to say this caused frustration on my wife. On top of parking. Security is great and the rooms are clean however small

Then at 11 pm management burst into room while we were asleep asking who we were.

It’s location at The Wharf makes it convenient and walkable to and from great spots to eat, grab a drink of local activities.

The staff at the Canopy were excellent every accommodation was met. The location was fantastic. The view of the Potomac River was amazing. I highly recommend you stand at the canopy at the wharf.

Staff was friendly and responsive especially to helping with needs such as how to get around on the Metro, but this definitely was not a Hilton level property. Bed linens were warn and tattered. One day we requested a room servicing specifically because the floor needed to be vacuumed and when we returned it clearly had not been vacuumed. The was visible clumps of dirt still on the floor. I reported it and a vacuum was dropped off at the room which did not function…perhaps it is the one the housekeeping person used that day…

Great things about this hotel: It’s close to many restaurants, a CVS, and tourist sites. The hotel staff were friendly and attentive. The valet drivers were fantastic! It was definitely worth the cost. Parking in the closest garage was a pain. The hotel was clean and we had a great view. Overall, our stay was great. However, here are a few things to know. The Wharf was full of tourist and it was a little loud. We were on the 6th floor so it wasn’t too bad but I would avoid lower levels if possible. Our card to the room was reset every 24 hours, so we had to keep going to the desk to have it unlocked. It was a very busy area.

Despite early requests for an early check-in and coming back when they said they should have rooms around 1-2p, we couldn't check in until after 3p. Also, the gym has treadmills that sound like they're about to fall apart and several did not have TV screens that worked. Then a cleaner had to come in and vacuum while I'm working out... not ideal. Also, non-functioning ice machine and water filter on our floor. And even with that, you guys couldn't even provide 1 or 2 bottles of water?

Courteous staff that went above and beyond. From the minute we left until we departed, A+ treatment. The concierge service made sure we had the best room with the best view with little wait. The housekeeping crew had our rooms spotless.

Had a very wonderful stay at the Canopy hotel. Staff was very nice and helpful. We were there over the 4th of July and we couldn’t hear any noises in the hallways or anything. Very convenient to all attractions. Wharf area is beautiful with many different types of restaurants to choose from.

The room had a funny smell. Not bad, just did not have a normal clean hotel room smell. The shower and products provided were lovely. I enjoyed the Nespresson maching and appreciate the step by step directions on how to use it. I understand that I was paying for location, but feel the room was overpriced and the credit card hold was somewhat excessive.

I was very happy with the level of service we received at the hotel. All the employees were friendly and bright without being overbearing. The hotel was clean, well kept and the food was delicious. The only thing I didn't quite care for was the parking fees at $60/day.

I had an absolutely fantastic stay. Everything was clean, comfortable and modern. The only thing that could be better is the water pressure in the bathroom sink was low.

TV didn't work. When we complained the first night, the attendant couldn't care less and simply stated that the place was full and she couldn't move us. She then sent a gentleman up with batteries for the remote - the wrong batteries and he couldn't fix the TV because "he is not an engineer." Even after getting the TV fixed 2 times, the air conditioner right over the bed was too loud to hear anything even on the highest setting. You can't switch the TV off or it won't work again - hence why we think the prior occupant unplugged the TV. When you put the cup under the coffee maker and selected the large cup feature, the cup overflowed and created a mess. Why then have the feature? When someone else turned water on in an adjoining room, it sounded like a baby screaming. We woke up several times thinking a child was in danger. It was an absolutely terrible stay, except for the location. I will never stay here again and will now never stay at a Hilton as a result.

We had an excellent stay at this property. Special shoutout to Johnny and Lou who were working up at the rooftop bar on Saturday night, 6/1. They deftly and professionally handled a tense situation with an intoxicated and aggressive patron who was making other patrons uncomfortable. Plus, the whole Whiskey Charlie bar team is stellar!

What we liked: The hotel is in the trendy Wharf district, within walking distance (about 1 mile) of the National Mall. We had a great view out our window of the Potomac, complete with yachts and twinkling lights. There were plenty of restaurants only steps away and multiple transportation options. The TV offered easily-accessible streaming content, the beds were comfortable, and the room was clean.
The less-than-ideal: For the price, it was good but not great. There are no "extras" like free parking (the garage cost $60/day), complimentary breakfast (I didn't really expect a free meal and the food was good, but part of my order never arrived and there wasn't enough coffee creamer or sweetener), or even ice (the ice maker on our floor was empty). Also, the room interiors have sliding "barn" doors with no locks on the bathroom or changing area, so we had to be on the honor system when anyone needed privacy. We also had a hard time getting the shower to deliver water that wasn't scalding hot or getting my room key to work at all (it was needed for the elevator as well as the room door). The staff didn't seem warm and fuzzy; they weren't rude, exactly, but one or two seemed vaguely peeved to have to deal with us during transactions like check-in and check-out, even though we didn't make any special demands or complain about anything.
All in all, I'm not sure we would stay there again. The location was excellent but the hotel itself didn't feel very personable or welcoming.

The hotel itself was very beautiful. However, I was taken aback by stains on the chaise and carpet. I reported it to two employees that stopped by to inspect something and heard nothing else aside from they are cleaning the carpet soon.
The room view was a beautiful city view. I’m Weirdly disappointed considering the price.

Love this hotel, location is awesome on the water! has great amenities and great restaurants around the area right next to the hotel. Friendly staff as well! Great view ask for the room with river view.

The view of the river and the being right on the Boardwalk were a couple of reasons why I chose this hotel and I wasn't disappointed.
