Facility was ok. Old motel Bare bones room although it did have a microwave and fridge.
Stayed there to be walking distance to downtown.

I always stay here when we visit in the summer. This was my first time visiting in the winter. There was one other party here besides me so it was very quiet (even being right next to the office) My only concern, it was REALLY warm in that room and I had no idea how to turn it down? But I`d rather be warm in the winter!!

This was our second weekend getaway staying at Colonial. The price is great considering where the motel is located but it’s a clearly a vintage property dating back to the early days of the Dells. The beds are a tad stiff and the fixtures around the rooms are aging with deterioration of the little things noticeable.
However, the newer A/C units and mini-fridges are both fully functional and quite effective.
Bonus is the outdoor pool staying open until 10pm.

Its a small, no frills, cheap motel. The motel is clean. Its located within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and bars.

I love to support the small business owner. This motel was perfect for our get away. The staff was helpful and the room was very clean. My husband and I enjoyed the pool.

It's an older motel but it is well Maintenance Every morning they were checking the pool. I am cleaning It Property was clean, just crossed the street and the main strip is right there.

The outlets were very loose and wouldn't keep my charger in and someone had come I to the room on Saturday and took the bath mat and another towel I'd hung up to reuse, but didn't replace them. Otherwise it was a nice stay and the price was reasonable

It was convenient it was a little shady area. Heard lots of noises didn’t feel the safest here. Might stay again if needed for the price of it. Don’t like the fact that they charge more if you use a credit card.

First room door didn’t lock, gave me human trafficking vibes! Next room smelled like poop, fridge didn’t work, no hot water or even shower head to shower if I wanted too. Stairs were slick and my disabled daughter fell! Took 4 hours for the heat to get hot! Only stayed because I couldn’t get a refund and had nowhere else to go

In-room refridgerator didn't work. Office closed from 10pmto 8 am. Cold air came into the room through an opening at the bottom of the door (room #2). We heard noise from the next room very clearly.

It was about as average as it gets. Rooms are old but well-maintained. Only staff I had contact with was very polite & personable. No tub, but the stand-up shower was spotless. Good inexpensive place to stay but not luxury accommodation.

Small and affordable- all we needed was a one night stay and this was perfect. Very clean. Pool was also good.

Clean and comfortable hotel right in the heart of downtown Dells. Beds were comfortable, and the pool was amazing! Loved being able to walk to all the shops and restaurants. The hotel staff were also very friendly. We will definitely be back next summer!

The water temp in the shower would not regulate. The noise from the room beside us made it sound like there was no wall. I could not use the outlets as anything I plugged in fell out. The bed war harder than a rock and the refrigerator did not work.

Had a great experience at Colonial. Super helpful owners, clean room, free Netflix, and a killer location if you want to be close to everything. Don’t expect a Hilton but, for the money, it’s a great value. My wife and I loved our Room #26 for our little getaway to the Dells. Will definitely be back.
