excellent location and super close to everything. I had a room facing the road so the street noise was fairly loud if you are a light sleeper

Les chambres sont propres (il faudrait quand même enlever les toiles d’araignées) mais les draps sont propres et les lits comfortable. Les salles de bain sont plutôt propre. La cuisine est vraiment dans un mauvais état et la pièce de vie... on n’a pas envie d’y rester !! Mais bon pour quelques nuits ça va.

Fantastic location, wonderful staff, excellent facilities. Good number of bathrooms, love the washing line option. Breakfast is great. Plenty of crockery/cooking utensils in the kitchen. Bedrooms are nice with a decent amount of space - with clothing rails and hangers, to boot! The covered balcony is lovely and spacious. The living room is comfortable and relaxed.Atmosphere is friendly and chilled, even at weekends. Good proximity to supermarket, restaurants, BARS, buses, and the beach. CBD is easy accessible via 373 & 374 buses. Buses to other locations also easy to find.3rd time here and would definitely recommend it (and have done so) to friends.

Sure, it’s a hostel- but still! Had a private double room which wasn’t cheap. Not properly vacuumed in the room when we checked in. Noise transferred through the walls. The bed didn’t have a top mattress so we could feel every spring in it and woke up when the other person moved because of the noise and the movement transferred. The verandah with a bbq etc was a proper let down as the pictures made us think it had beach view- but don’t be fooled like us, that verandah is from a restaurant with rooftop nearby, not part of the hostel. The hostels verandah was crammed with a bbq, hanging racks etc - we did not want to spend a single minute there. For this place all you pay for is location as it’s only a minute walk to the lovely beach of Coogee, the place itself not worth the money. Barely slept at all

I booked a double bed which advertised having a private bathroom, but it didn’t and I had to use the shared bathroom facilities, which for the price I paid was not acceptable. The description ’free nearby parking’ was also misleading as it implies it’s parking offered by the hotel - it wasn’t- it was just street parking in the surrounding area, it shouldn’t be listed as a hotel feature. The room itself was fine, very basic, but tidy.

The reception closed (office closed and no one there!!!) from between 1pm to 3pm and there was no information when i booked it. We found it when we got in there at 1 15pm. I hope Expedia will update about it so then ppl will know in advance. Staff is nice but the room got small and noisy at all the times. If you are light sleeper, im not recommend here. But good location from beach just 1 minute walking.

Location is right next to Coogee beach. Bus service, restaurants, grocery store, fitness club, and yoga classes are just steps away

Unbelievably close to the beach. Friendly, helpful staff. A few of the toilet/bathroom doors get stuck but the showers are excellent. Worth noting no hand soap provided in toilets. No toiletries either but I'd checked before arriving and I'm fairly sure it's not uncommon anyway. Honestly you can't beat this place on price and location. Right near the bus stops into the city, too. 100% would stay here again

It was an overall quiet place which was nice to have. The bathrooms weren't very updated but it wasn't a big deal to me. I recommend for a mid-tier hostel experience.

So the kitchen is a sty. Fridge sounds like a John Deere tractor at tractor pull competition. Locks on doors were a bit iffy. The front desk staff were very helpful though. Bathrooms were all clean. Hot water all gone by 7 AM though. Pity there is no washing machine there. But location is excellent.

Coogee is a wonderful place to stay a few days, to enjoy the beach, food, and walks along the coast. The Coogee Beach House - Hostel is a good, inexpensive choice very near the beach. Our only difficulties were that the wifi was out during our stay, and some other guests were noisy late at night.

This hostel attracts many backpackers. This results in the one or other not so quite night. Location is great with a few steps to the beach.

This is basically a back packers hostel. It is very cheap, so expectations should not be high. It has a community lounge and kitchen. Toilets and shower are clean though not modern. No air-con, and the window is locked in the room. A good, cheap place to crash for the night.
