Service was nice and friendly, but I'm sad to say the hotel was not very good. First I had a room with a smell of mole and no possibilty to open the window. Then, thanks to friendly service, the reseptionist arranged me another room. Even that room was old, the carpet looked dirty, the doors didn't open properly and so on.

The initial room we were in had a faulty heater, and with temperatures at freezing, we knew it would be a cold night. Luckily, there was a room open, and the reception offered us a transfer to the open room. We stayed in room 6 in the LOT hotel - the attic room with a seating area. It was beautifully appointed, and the extra space made for a very comfortable stay. The double windows blocked out the street noise and we enjoyed a very restful night. The hotel is situated in the heart of the shopping and restaurant area, great for families, and easy 8 minute walk to a large grocery store and the train station. The location is ideal!!

Messy exterior which obscures the location (just around the corner from the Rembrandt Hotel). No elevator. The entrance and stairways resemble student accommodation ... The room was cramped and bitty, with a faint sewer smell.

Small room, very hot. Outward facing onto noisy ‘party’ street, activity ceased at c 3 am in time for the bin lorries to arrive. But the room was cheap.

Tiny treasure in the heart of Leiden,NL. Merle made us feel welcome and gave us information about this city that added so much to our trip. The room is large and furnished with wonderful antique pieces.We plan to stay there on our next trip in May.

I thought this hotel would be quirky. In fact its just basic. And there is a weird relationship between the cafe/bar and the hotel which means having to pay two bills.

Comfortable hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location.Good to have tea and coffee making facilities

Hotel is in a historical building, so dont expect surgical cleanliness but rather warm atmosphere and a wooden staircase and floors that sound like a genuine wooden staircase or floor. Large room, good wifi, restaurants and bars closeby. In the morning the kind owner serves a nice breakfast at your table in the small pub downstairs, with plenty of choice of sweet/savory/fruits/yoghurt and excellent coffee.

Very good quality price hotel. Staff very friendly and accomodatingRoom cleanOnly little negative things was that the wifi was ot working properly in the room and that the room was a bit noisy because of the ventilation next to the window
