Very comfortable. Large, spacious room. The front staff was very friendly. Breakfast included which was a nice touch. Only a minor issue of cleaning staff walking in when I was still in the room. Overall good value for the price and I would stay again.

Excellent Hotel. We stayed in a Mountain View room & when the Matterhorn appeared from behind the clouds, the view did not disappoint. Great location, friendly staff & nice breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel.

This was our favorite hotel out of the 6 hotels we stayed in during our trip to Switzerland. The rooms have recently been updated and looked and felt great. We had perfect views of the Matterhorn. The staff was very friendly and even gave us a coupon for 10% off our ski rentals from a nearby shop. We plan to stay here again when we go back to ski again.

We loved this property! It had character but was also very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They offer a delicious complimentary breakfast. The rooms are quiet large and had lots of room for your gear. We hope to visit this hotel again!

This place was very roomy. We had a beautiful view of the Matterhorn from our room and lovely balcony. The breakfast was delicious. The staff were as pleasant and helpful as possible.

To be all honest, this was not my first hotel of choice. It's a little far away from downtown and I only picked it because I anticipated on getting there late and this is the only one with check-in past 6:00 p.m. But well worth it and would highly recommend anyone going there. Rooms are spacious, modern breakfast is really good. I would highly recommend it. And hopefully planning on coming back again next year and would plan to stay back here.

We traveled here to ski and of course experience the village of Zermatt. The service and the atmosphere of Base Camp was a big bonus to the trip. They were so friendly and helpful, in every way. It absolutely added to a wonderful experience.

We spent 4 nights here and enjoyed every minute. The location was wonderful. We were assisted with all of our needs.

OK , Sometimes in life things just you get those surprises that just make a trip fantastic. I was booking a Zermatt trip and I know my wife likes the fancy places from instagram and Tick Tock.. It was new years and the city was basically sold out. Basecamp had a couple rooms left and that was it city sold out...so I just went for it thinking it would be ok probably for hikers like a hostel and wed be ok . LOL we got in late they had a key at the door waiting for us I walk into the huge perfectly kept room a giant window overlooking the Matterhorn. I said to my wife is this for real. This is exactly how I pictured the perfect room on our trip to be. The bonus is the Staff is AMAZING and will help with anything you need. The Swiss breakfast in the morning perfect and the location for skiing the downtown Zermatt and apres ski couldn't be better. Now for the interesting part. The owner Richard is a world famous mountain climber and rescue climber and has decorated the rooms with his adventures from around the world the pictures are breathtaking from attop the worlds most famous mountains. Its so freaking cool, he's climbed matterhorn 270 times. Book this place . you wont be disappointed . It's so clean and well kept your think you were at a new 5 star hotel. We will be back with the family next time !!

Front desk staff made the stay amazing. Transport to and from the train station was very convenient. Area around the room was a little loud at night but the room was amazing with a Matterhorn view

Fantastic hotel in Zermatt! As a solo traveler, I occupied a 1-person room, which was larger than I've seen in other hotels in Switzerland. The room had been recently refurbished, looked fantastic and was extremely comfortable. Very nice touches like USB-B & C chargers by the bed, free water, etc made a difference. Breakfast was very good and the service fantastic. Overall, very happy with Hotel Basecamp. Highly recommended.

Very nice hotel in a perfect location. Our room is on 2nd floor, with an amazing view of Matterhorn! I was able to see and take pictures of Matterhorn right from our balcony, before and after the sunrise. The room is big even for 3 persons, very clean. The breakfast is great. The staffs are super nice.

I love the town of Zermatt. The location of the hotel was perfect with a magnificent view of the Matterhorn. I cannot say enough about the staff. The ladies at the dinning room that take care of the breakfast are friendly and accommodating. They make you eggs to order.. The housekeepers are absolutely amazing and the room is very clean. The front desk attendants were always friendly professional and always willing to help and give recommendations. When you map the hotel on Google maps go the longer way on the main road take a left at the church…the way the GPS takes you runs you into a steep hill of cobble stones not good if you are trying to roll a suitcase. I had a travel backpack but if you have a suitcase that’s a tip for you.

This was a very wonderful stay in Zermatt! We took the steep way up from the train station (there's a much more "vertically friendly" way to get up there if you walk a little further), but the unit was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was also included and delicious!

Loved the views from hotel of the Matterhorn. Staff was great and they held our luggage after check out so we could spend some time in zermatt

Some very nice restaurants nearby but need to make reservation. Arrived after 8 and received an email saying it was closed. We followed the instruction to get in. The bed linen is not white and room lighting was dark so not very sure how clean it was. Front dest sometimes no one was there even you ring the bell. But when you talk to staff everyone is nice.
