what an amazing deal the price for this apartment type room was the same for 5 nights as it would be for one of the fancy hotels in town for 2 nights When i arrived they had a complementary bottle of wine The maid did my dishes every day and left me coffee every day Sure not a huge pool or gym as you would find in the big hotels but good enough Food at both restaurants was superb also So convinent right across the street from the convention center and the hop on hop off stop

It was a nice stay for an overnight accommodations. Although, we wanted to extend our stay and eat at the delicious hotel restaurants again. Only downside was the fact that the cable/satellite services wasn't working on any of the TV's. Front desk did send someone for the evening but he only got 1 televison working and we ended up having the same issue in the morning. But the room and views were exactly what I requested. I truly wanted to stay longer and enjoy the space.

We had an enjoyable stay at Onyx. We are returning customers. The staff were friendly, the apartments are clean, with good convenient access to key locations (via Uber). Given the weather conditions on my travel, I was hoping to change one of my bookings around 5 days before my stay, but having discussed with the hotel unfortunately the hotel was inflexible with the policy so I had to pay for one extra night which I didn't stay (appreciate that the cancellation policy was 7 days before).

This is our 5th time staying at the Onyx, and each stay has been consistently excellent. The staff are accommodating, the room is perfectly clean and spacious and the location could not be ore central. We can't wait for our 6th stay! A special thank you to Simon and Ashton.

The property is very nice and clean but customer service needs improvement. They told me that the rooms had universal ports but that was not the case. Housekeeper also stole money from my purse. I left my purse in the bedroom and had my big bills tucked away and noticed that they had disappeared. They were careful to leave the small ones to make it look like it had fell out of the purse but I made sure the zipper was sealed. I also noticed at the day of my checkout the houses rushed inside of the room as soon as I turned the corner even though she was tending to a different room. I turned back to ask about my missing money from the day before and she had a prepared response saying that she hadn't seen anything and took pictures of loose change in every room. I didn't have any lose change. Don't leave any valuables behind if you're requesting for room service. Very disappointed.

Beautiful apartment. Comfortable . We stayed with our 2 teens and we really enjoyed it! Everything spotless and a 15-20 min walk to the water front. Front desk was very helpful. Definitely recommend for a Capetown stay!!

The staff were amazing, the breakfast was wonderful and the rooms very clean and roomy. Close to a hop on bus stop and within a half hour walk of the V&A waterfront (not recommended when dark).

Very nice in a very nice area. Central so close to lots of places, even walkable if you feel safe enough walking at night in cape town. The breakfast is great, one of the best I have had but Cape Town standard is high and this was still good. They have a nice restaurant on site too. Very yummy food. My only downside is that our bathroom was very very tiny and sometimes the hallway and lift smelt of weed.

The hotel room was beautiful, and my partner and I enjoyed the amenities and the great location. Furthermore, the price for the room did not break the bank, so I would highly recommend anyone looking to stay in the downtown area of Cape Town to give Onyx a look. My only complaint would be that they didn't have any extra key cards to hand out, so my partner and I were stuck sharing one key card.

The property and staff were great - so helpful but like a lot of places you couldn’t walk at night. It is close to the v&a waterfront and the city bus stops right around the corner - stop 3 on red route. Ubers are reasonable so no problem getting around

The coffee shop downstairs is great- MRKT. The hotel is super clean. The studio we had was massive and super clean and comfortable for 2 people. The pool area is a bit small, but it is nice, but by the afternoon the sun goes. The hotel is modern. I would definitely stay here again.
Uber comes very quick. Use the main roads when walking in the day, we walked to the waterfront in the day time. Never walk at night. The staff are so helpful.
