This is a very charming B&B. Staff and owners were great. Very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and well appointed; very clean; nice firm beds and selection of pillows. Will definitely stay again.

My family traveled together to celebrate an engagement. We booked the family suite and loved that we could all be together. The inn was charming and cozy, the staff were warm and welcoming, there is even a sweet little dog in residence! The whole place was extremely clean and well maintained, we couldn’t be happier. Next time we travel to Madison we look forward to staying at the Homestead again.

What a gem! Attentive staff and hands-on ownership. Places like The Homestead attract "like minded" people and this reminded me of why I love to travel and why I choose small boutique inns. Already planning to return with friends and stay for two nights! We loved just hanging out in our room listening to the record player. But it was equally as nice to hang out in all the other common areas; chatting with staff or guests, sitting by the fire, enjoying the various collections everywhere, selecting a book to read, nibbling on snacks (including fresh pop corn!!!), sipping some port..... And the resident doggie Hartman....you captured our hearts. You can nibble on my ear any time! And to think this place is an hour from our house. I see some more frequent quick get-aways in our future.

This is the sweetest little B&B. Clean, beautiful rooms and a lot of attention to detail. The inn keepers and owner are lovely to chat with. The snacks and popcorn are a bonus. If you are in Madison, I highly suggest you stay here. I didn't try the butter olive oil on my popcorn but apparently it's a must!

I do not say this often, but The Homestead was above and beyond better than my expectations. The entire staff is friendly and helpful, they were always asking if they could do anything to make it better or making friendly conversation.

Outstanding. The owner is so meticulous, and make sure everything is perfect for your stay. The end is very homey and decorated in a very charming fashion. If you are going to Madison, this is the place to be.

We really enjoyed the Homestead. Milford is a fantastic coastal town. Beautiful homes, nice beaches and quiet. If we come back to this area we will stay at the Homestead.

Friendly and very service oriented staff. Extra amenities you don't find anywhere else such as HEPA air filter in rooms, water filter in the shower, fireplace. Owner is very friendly and if you like, his dog Hartman will entertain you. Living room and large dining room table feels like home and at 3 PM there is freshly made popcorn! We'll be back

This Inn / Bed & Breakfast was absolutely outstanding. The decor was warm and inviting, like being in a very nice clean new yet traditional large home.
The Owner Ralph is very welcoming and I intrusive. Everything was top notch quality, from the home baked quiches & scones for breakfast, to the gourmet popcorn to enjoy while watching a movie by the fire.
Our room had a beautiful fireplace, record player and very big bathroom. The rooms are all nice and big. I will definitely stay here again.

I stayed to rest between appointments.
The mattress was the hardest surface I ever experienced. Firm and durable is good for the owner. Not good for sleeping. Very difficult sleep.

The interior is spacious, bright and filled with books that beckon, objects d'art, antiques and a gas fireplace. The breakfast goodies are baked especially by a local establishment and our room was more than spacious. We had a private patio and private entrance as well. The bed was luxurious as was the bath. (great water pressure). The landscaping was absolutely beautiful and inviting. Could have stayed a month instead of a night...

It was a wonderful B&B. Staff was very friendly. The house was immaculate which is something important to me I thought of a lot of little details to make the stay pleasurable. Would absolutely recommend a stay there and if we get back to the area this would be the place we would be.

Our stay was wonderful. The Homestead was clean and welcoming, and our innkeeper was very helpful. I loved the record player in the room and the selection of records they chose for us.
