Chose this as it had a better review than the Motel 6, but having stayed in the Motel 6 previously, I’d choose the Motel 6. The room was old, holes and dings in the walls, comforter had what appeared to be cigarette burns in it. It was alright for the price, but I probably wouldn’t stay again.

Excellent motel for the money. clean, comfortable room located in quiet area. I really like the one story, remodeled motels, primarily because there’s no one above you and you can back your car up to the door. This one was one of the best I’ve stayed in. I have always stayed in Santa Rosa on this route, but I will definitely stay here again next time.

I have NO idea how this property received an excellent status. This is a terrible property. There were bugs in the room around the light that flew and bit. They were active most of the night keeping me awake. I ended up with multiple bites. The water spout in the tub was barely hanging on. Almost pulled it out of the wall trying to turn on the shower. There was a gnat/bug when I went to get ice. I would NEVER stay here again.

It is old and rundown, the ac unit was from the 60's barely worked. The door lock didn't lock very well, I put a chair under the knob overnight. The parking lot had broken down trucks and cars with flat tires. I won't stay here again or recommend it for anyone else.

This is an older motel but the property and my room was very clean and the bathroom had been updated. The bed was very comfortable but the 2 towels were on the thin side. The employee that checked me in was very friendly and welcoming and gave me 2 bottles of water which was a very nice gesture. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.

The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. It was also reasonably priced and easy on and off I-40. Good choice for an overnight stay while traveling.

Cheap and cheerful, great place for a comfortable nights sleep. Clean bathroom and comfortable beds, ice machine and fridge available. Tucumcari has loads to offer and this was the perfect spot for the evening. No frills motel.

This was a clean motel, in a convenient location (alongside Route 66) when you’re passing through. One-night stay, so we had no need for amenities. Lady at the front desk was friendly.

Quiet. Clean for the most part, but the inside of the refrigerator was messy. Lots of space in the room but only one bedside table so had to use a chair by the bed for one of our CPAPs. Again, only one hand towel for two people? I find this in a number of motels. What is this about? No room service for second night.

Very plain, but old and tired room. Towels had dirty marks on them, there was hair on the bed sheets. Not a pleasant experience. We would not stay here again.

You get what you pay for. Most of the room was clean until you went in the bathroom. The toilet smelled and had traces of urine build up on the seat hinges and down the front of the bowl. The sink trap smelled and needed cleaned out. Luckily I had sanitizing wipes with me. The bed was very comfortable.

I have a certified service animal. Wanted to charge $100 cleaning fee. I showed him the certificate and he said the 100 is for cleaning not for the service animal. It’s after midnight and now I’m looking for a different room. While I was there the police showed up for a fight between the employees. The owner showed up and told us the same thing.

Stayed here for the night because I wanted to take pictures of Route 66 in Tucumcari, NM. It brings you back in time. The rooms were clean. It was very relaxing because I was not in a big city with all the hussle and bussle. Slept really well. The property is old as expected but in good condition. Check in was good.

The motel has been recently remodeled. It was clean and comfortable. I was disappointed that even though it was classified as "pet friendly" they charged an extra $5 for our pup. I feel that should have been disclosed in the booking process. I don't know if the fault is with the app. or motel.

The Budget Inn in Tucumcari, NM is the epitome of a basic motel. It was acceptably clean and acceptably comfortable for a one night traveler’s stay. Unfortunately, it resides in an abandoned part of a dying town. There is little or nothing to do nearby, so it really qualifies as just a decent bed and bathroom for the night.

I teavel alot and this is 7.0 max. Was given 2 complimentary bottled waters at check-in, but not until next day when asked about filling our hydroflasks were we told "not advisable" to drink the tap water! We stayed in Room #107 and bathroom hardware broken. Don't shut door completely or you might get locked in.

Clean room. Comfortable bed. Heating worked fine. Friendly manager. On a main road in town but away from major junctions so it’s quiet. Reasonably priced. Couldn’t ask for more in a short motel stay. Would stay again.
