The overall vibe of the hotel is cool but the room we had was not designed well. It was extremely difficult to get into the bathroom and close the door, the shower water leaked all over the floor no matter how low/high you had the water pressure and the fire alarm started beeping every time someone took a hot shower.

The bathroom was very small. The shower was awful to work. The bedroom was tiny!!!!! They did not state it was less than queen bed but rather a full sized bed. Definitely not for a small family . Our two little girls didn’t even fit!
Awful hidden fees. They charged us for amenities… that basically included a gym which we never used!!!!
Our room wasn’t even clean! Found dirty socks in room!

Fab location, superb friendliness and extremely well trained and accommodating staff, and a lively and hip place near a plethora of good restaurants (including at least four or five by José Andre). The City Center near by has most of the great European designers. A+

Located close to major museums with lots of nearby restaurants. Spacious room with comfy chair. Excellent shower, but toilet area a little cramped. Nice restaurant and bar, which is popular on Friday evening. Would stay again, although I don't much like the "resort fee." Good value for Washington.

water was way too hot, & difficult to adjust. shower door was hung wonky, so water rained through the separation, putting lots of water on the bathroom floor. I'm used to 2 sheets on a bed, not just 1. does that duvet get washed every client change? I normally only cover up with a sheet; a heavier cover is too much. overall was a nice place & close to metro, which was one reason we chose it.

The Riggs Hotel was located in a very convenient area within walking distance of the Mall, museums, shops and more. They had some bikes we enjoyed borrowing to ride around the area. All was lovely with the exception that the shower was very hot and not easily cooled and the electricity shorted in our room, but was quickly fixed, making it a brief and odd occurrence. Every staff member was very friendly and we were glad to have stayed at this charming hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at the Riggs! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The cafe was delightful with delicious food. The location is fantastic and the rate was more than reasonable in comparison with other local hotels. We will definitely be back.

Such an iconic hotel that should have the top end of everything, especially given the cost for each night. I found the towels to be less than luxurious the toilet paper was definitely not quality, not having a dresser to unpack our suitcase was unacceptable. Then, on top of those definite disappointments, we were unable to get cold water out of the tap. Both faucets gave us hot water.

Hotel looks nice from outside, but lots of problems inside. The elevator constantly broke, one time we had to wait half an hour and ended up taking stairs with kids stroller. Wall is paper thin in between the rooms. You can hear everything from the next door as well as everything in the hallway. The worse part is check out and hidden fees. I reserved two rooms with breakfast included, but they still charge me breakfast twice. And I had to call multiple times to get them response. To date, I’m still waiting on them to resolve. Being a 5 star hotel, the service certainly didn’t meet expectations and facility is also outdated.

The hotel staff are courteous and attentive. The Metro was close and we were walking distance of many monuments, museums, shopping, and restaurants while staying at the Riggs Hotel. We look forward to staying there again soon in the future.

This is a wonderful hotel - absolutely beautiful. The staff are all very kind. The only thing that was a bit lacking was the service at the bar and Riggs Cafe. I’m not sure if they were just short staffed, but every time we were there, the service took a long time and was sporadic.
