I selected this property for its prime location within the park, and although we arrived extremely late, we were warmly greeted by the staff. However, the room's condition fell short of my expectations. The lack of air conditioning and minimal bathroom amenities were disappointing. Furthermore, the breakfast quality was underwhelming. Despite the convenient location, the room's condition and amenities need significant improvement.

For location it was fine. No AC. Our room on top floor was quite hot (we stayed in late June) but we knew that it didn’t have AC. We also had short ceilings. Buffet was average. There were a number of bus tour groups staying there.

The only real reason to stay here is the park access. However, I’m unsure if other properties have ease of access as well. The entire property is tired and needs a massive overhaul. While clean, the rooms are so so so dated and stale. Very overpriced - I would consider other options. .

This is a basic place to stay. The staff was wonderful. There were a few problems with the coffee and drink dispensers at breakfast. To fully experience the park, I would recommend staying at a local hotel and doing a two day visit to the park which can be done with a 1 night stay.

The hotel was clean and the staff was very nice. It is a bit tired looking but well maintained and the location could not possibly be any better to hike the Plitvice National Park. There was easy ample parking. I think the absolute best choice for visiting the park. A one minute walk to entrance #2. Easy to arrange boat trip across the lake and get entrance tickets right there at the entrance #2.

No, or very little WIFI. No air conditioner. Hair dryer was not good. Breakfast and dinner buffets were sub par. The full dinner was very nice.

Very overpriced. It is an average property with an average breakfast. Tired and worn. Location is excellent.

The property is at Plitvice Lakes National Park and you can literally walk to the park from the property. Very convenient.

Half Board buffets are very simple…I was expecting more

Absence of shower booth curtain. Water rebound on the floor during shower. Others? All excellent. Specially, close with the entrance 2. Work around perfect in the morning. Balcony good. Sufficient free parking slot.

The hotel staff are nice and helpful, it offered a complimentary ride to transfer me from the bus stop to the hotel. That’s help a lot as I have luguage.

Property is clean and convenient, but very dated.

The hotel and guestrooms are a bit dated. The location is very convenient for accessing the national park.

This hotel, in 2023, is in the same or worse condition than when we visited 10 years earlier. Worn out carpets, elevators, bathrooms... not an improvement in sight. The elevators are shot as are the carpets and bathroom plumbing. Staff are great but physical plant needs and, considering the price, requires a conplete overhaul.

There are egg shells in the breakfast egg scramble. I have never experienced this anywhere else. Other hotel conditions were also below expectations.

lake hikes rite there..

1. There are no lake-view rooms. Lake is not visible from the rooms even though the room description says "Lake View." 2. Very old property. No AC or fans in the room. 3. Location is near the park.

The main attraction is of course Plitvice Lakes, which are a wonder of nature. The hotel is right next to the lakes. So, the location could not be more convenient. Being at the hotel makes one experience the spirit of the extraordinarily beautiful place. It is true that the rooms look a bit outdated but who cares! My room was quite clean and huge. The breakfast buffet was quite comprehensive and excellent. The staff at the front desk was very friendly, as was the staff in the lobby bar and the a la carte restaurant (didn’t try the buffet dinner restaurant). When I visit a national park, I actually prefer staying at properties like this because they make me feel closer to nature.

Come here for the location, the staff is great, the property is basically camping.

Nice and convenient

Amazing location, right by the Park entrance, but the hotel seems neglected and dated.

This hotel is nicely situated in Plitvice National Park. You can easily walk about 2-4 minutes from the front of the hotel to catch a tram that transports you to various stations in the park. Our hotel room was dated about 15-20 years in the past and needs a refresh. Everything operated well and the mattress I slept on worked very well for me. The view outside our window was sufficient with lots of greenery and the sound of water rushing along. It was peaceful and serene. The amenities they had was a bowling alley located at a 1-2 minute walk outside of the hotel, the gym and patio area was sizable. The pool, however; was a downside since they call it a “whirlpool” which is pie shaped. I like the rectangle shape kind, either indoor or outdoor. The breakfast buffet was great and the selection was just right. We enjoyed the food and no complaints there. The dinner was a la carte and the food was great! I really liked my selections, which I have never it prepared in that way. The front desk was helpful and many of them spoke English without using lots of filler words. Everyone smiled and always made eye contact. Another downside to this was the small elevator. It can accommodate approximately 4-5 people without luggages. A suggestion would be to expand the size of the elevator and refresh the rooms. We would try out another hotel for better rooms and amenities.

The location of the hotel is great. The facilities are old and not well maintained. The main hallway light did not work in our room and the shower would not drain. This is an expensive hotel for the area and it felt like they are taking advantage of guests because of prior reviews and location.

excellent service

Being in the park is wonderful. It is easy to get to both entrances from the hotel. The rooms are a bit drab. Definitely face the lake if you can. You won’t be able to see the lake once the trees leaf out, but sitting on your balcony facing the woods is lovely. Be aware that the food is pretty awful. The whirlpool is only 86 degrees Fahrenheit (30 C) so fairly cool. Sauna is an additional charge. Apparently if you book your room directly from Hotel Jezero, your park entry tickets are included - worth checking on that!

We chose Hotel Jezero due to its proximity to the entrance to Plitvice Lakes. It’s just a few minutes walk (down a lot of steps) to entrance 2. From there you can do either the upper or lower lakes. Parking was easy and check in went smooth. The rooms, while adequate and clean, are a bit outdated. There is both buffet and a la carte dining options. The buffet was 20 euros each, not including drinks. We chose to skip the buffet and our meal was 44 euros with drinks, so it worked out well. If you are doing more than one day in the lakes only get a one day pass. The hotel will give you and extra day stamp after your first day.

Hotel situation is perfect in between Plitvice Lakes National Park. Lots of restaurants around the hotel. Very nice staff. Very clean room.

Due to its location it has a monopoly on options. There is literally no competition for them. The property for the most part is nice but where they fall very short is in the rooms. The beds are terrible. The bathrooms haven’t been updated in probably 30 years. They don’t provide hand towels or wash cloths. They don’t even have tissue paper . They suggest that you buy some at the market. We found the food options pretty mediocre. On the plus side, most of the staff is very nice and helpful. This property is state owned which explains some of this.
