The room was really clean with everything it was needed, the staff is very friendly and the food was really good.

My friend and I had the room with 3 double sized beds. Don’t trust the photos, everything is staged. I don’t mind that the furnishings/bedding in our room was ugly, but I do mind that it was very dirty.. It had no windows so it felt like we were in an ugly, dirty box. We paid for 4 nights but stayed 2 - which would have been none but we had to wait for a room elsewhere. During our 2 nights we refused to use the shower, no words for the level of gross and extremely poor lighting. no maid service and we were given 1 towel each for a 4 day stay. The door to the room had a push lock - the kind you use in a bathroom for privacy, not for securing entry into a room. No chain, no deadbolt. The pool was algae green and the pool deck is very small. The restaurant did have a fab view and food was decent. We ate there twice and one server/bartender was seriously creepy. His very 1st question was asking my friend if she had a husband or if single. When she ordered a drink substituting alcohol for soda, he demanded to know why, even asking if she was pregnant. Three separate times he later smirked that he added tequila to her drink. My friend has been sober for 5 months. The hotel has 5 rooms, no one at the front desk at night, and the main entrance has zero security measures. Literally anyone can come in. Hated 90% of our stay. Combined we have been to 130 countries & only care about a clean room and to feel reasonably safe. Big fail at AST.

Stayed here for a few days, it’s a clean and friendly environment, good food, and great service from the staff

The Staff is awesome. Great location, only thing I’d change is the linen… it’s old and felt itchy even if I slept on top.

There was a very uncomfortable smell in the room. The shower drain had a back up. Totally different to what they advertise in Expedia.

The hotel is decent the beach side stairs need repair and the rooms are beautiful! Best beds and pillows I've ever imagined! The staff is kind but is not efficient, we waited 1hr for the breakfast. Then we had issues with the lunch too, the lady in charge offered a late check out as compensation and apologized, she's a great person. Still I think the restaurant needs a manager desperately, and better training for the waiters. The guy that helps in the parking lot deserves a raise and a bilingual welcome letter with the hotel rules and hours of service would be a great addition for next time.

I loved the place. Excellent costumer service, they are so attentive. The personal really made me feel confortable. They have good food selection and drinks. Everything was delicious.

Staff is lovely and very accommodating. Food in the restaurant was fresh. The location is very convenient to the fish market and other restaurants. The hotel needs updating. Lots of exposed rebar and crumbling concrete. The door to our room was very difficult to lock properly. When we reported to the site they informed us that the area was very safe and we shouldn't worry. Not exactly the solution we were hoping for. Overpriced for the condition that it is in.

The hotel is a backpackers hostel at best. There is not even hot water. Nobody speaks a word of English. An absolutely case of false advertising.

A two star hotel. Best 2* in a town with only 2 star hotels. The restaurant is very good but limited beverages( beer and beer) There is no beach, just bowling ball size boulders. Room has sliding class door that cannot be locked from inside. Bed is comfortable.

The people here were so friendly and had great service. The pool was really nice and i could go wherever. The room was really nice and the food was excellent and the guy who worked in the restaurant was so nice and helpful. You can stay here to he near the new ferris wheel/amusement park they are building and can walk to some cute beach areas. I really loved this place and would stay again if i come back to ES

The area around was very unsafe, and you need it to get out in the street to access the pool, there was not hot water and there were mosquitoes to which I’m allergic.

AST hotel and staff are simply the best. I had such and enjoyable stay I had to extend it. The rooms were clean, AC worked wonders, the staff were friendly and accommodating. Every morning I woke up and went to the third floor balcony which over looks the ocean for a cup of coffee and fresh fruit- the definition of paradice. The surfing/surf instructor was great, the tours organized were perfect, the food at the restaurants was amazing- they even have great vegetarian options for those looking. I can't say enough amazing things about this place, it truly made my stay in El Salvador something wonderful. I would recommend to anyone and would absolutely stay again.

The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The place was very nice. I would gladly stay there again any time. It is by far one the nicest places I have stayed in the beach area in El Salvador. Beach hotels are certainly overpriced and overrated but not this one.

Great hotel located in La Libertad. Nice beach when the tide is low. There’s a fish market nearby and lots of restaurants where you can meet locals and tourists alike. Breakfast is included with your stay and it was delicious!
