Great hotel and terrific staff

The hotel was beautiful. It was very very clean. Smelled clean and still had the brand new smell. The breakfast could’ve been a little better but it’s free so I can’t complain..lol we went for a Virginia Tech game. It was a quick 20 min ride to the stadium. Had plenty of places to drive to for food and many stores close by. There was a nice shopping area like 10 mins from the hotel that had a large mall and about 50 or so other stores around the outside of the mall. The area is a very safe area. Only a 15 min drive from the Roanoke Airport. Again, very safe area. Hotel was very clean. Staff was amazing and everyone was very friendly. This was our first ever V-Tech game and we’ll definitely be back. The whole area was nice and all the locals were the friendliest ppl.. I would highly recommend this hotel. Price was amazingly cheap and worth staying a little outside of Blacksburg.

My family traveled from DC to Knoxville and Salem was an about the halfway point to stop and sleep. Perfect hotel for 1 night. Super clean, friendly staff and the hotel offered a small continental breakfast to grab something on the way out. The room was a little on the small side, but it worked for us.

Front desk clerk didn't acknowledge us on arrival as well as checkout by continuiing to talk to coworker. Was rude in general.

Hotel was very clean and spacious. Staff was very helpful with information about local restaurants and activities. The only negative was that the bed squeaked on one side every time you got in, out or moved around.

Had a very nice stay at this Avid hotel. Clean and well maintained. Bed, sheets and comforter were good quality. Minuses were the toilet paper and towels.

This was the second time we’ve stayed here and it was excellent. The front desk staff are helpful and outgoing with a smile on their faces. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Coffee and hot water are available 24 hours a day and the continental breakfast is well stocked. Overall we enjoyed our stay and have made this property our go to destination while in the area.

It has been years that we discover Avid we fall in love at first sight with the cleanliness and well organized the hotel es kept. Definitely Avid is the trusted friend at the time of travel we recommend visiting.

Have never stayed at an Avid hotel. Rooms were very clean. Breakfast was more "grab and go" but there were a range of food options.

Clean rooms, comfortable beds, excellent hot breakfast, quiet, and friendly staff.

Staff were very friendly. 24 hour coffee bar. Clean and modern property. Very bright and inviting with several nice seating areas.

My i first walked in the property it smelled so clean and fresh. The receptionist greeted me was a lovely smile. Had great customer service! Thw room was nice and clean.we had a room with a great view .the beds were so comfortable. Thanks for a great experience

Stayed with my pet. Staff was super friendly and check-in/check-out was so easy. Loved the room and especially loved the walk in shower and high shower head. Tall people don't always have that luxury. Breakfast was yummy. My only complaint would be the grass was super high - but it may have rained a bunch and they couldn't mow it.

We were very pleased with our stay here. Hotel was super clean, hotel staff extremely friendly. I actually loved having the options of both firm pillows and soft pillows. Easy checkin. Safe area. Very happy we chose this place.

No complaints at all with our room or the provided breakfast. Since it was just an overnight stay, the recommendation of a place for dinner was most appreciated. An Italian place called Angelle's down the street was excellent.
