This was the first time we stayed at a place like this and it was an amazing experience. It felt cleaner than any chain hotel and more welcoming. The staff was amazing - they were able to provide me with anything I asked for, from an iron, to microwaving a kids meal at 9 PM. Cookies available at all times, a wonderful breakfast with options for both savory and sweet, and again, a wonderful staff to meet your needs for breakfast! The room we stayed in, the king room with spa bath, was beautiful! It was the perfect size, had plenty of amenities and felt very private. We would 100% stay here again.

We booked this stay at the last minute, and couldn't have been happier with our choice. Our room, #3, was gorgeous! There was a spa bath in the very large bathroom. The bed was very comfortable, and the chaise in the room was ideal for reading my book. We were very close to the waterfront and all the activity. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We asked for a dinner recommendation, and it was spot on! (Geddy's). Breakfast was a choice between sweet (coconut waffle with chocolate sauce and coconut flakes) or savory (a sausage and pepper frittata). We were also served blueberry coffee cake, along with teas, juices, and coffee. We had a lovely stay, and wouldn't hesitate to stay again and recommend to friends.

The most unique and beautiful bed and breakfast we’ve ever stayed in. Hospitality was incredible. Breakfast was incredible. Location was fantastic. Such a treat!! Would 10/10 recommend! Also kudos to Juliana, Alondra and Catherine they were all so lovely to make our experience so special!

We had such a great stay! The hostess was wonderful, it was a great location and the B&B was adorable! We love the afternoon snacks and breakfast. The rooms were so comfy, bed was great and same with the bathroom. I liked the local soap added in the shower. I would highly recommend this place for a weekend. I can’t wait to come back!

I loved my stay at the Hearthside Inn. The Inn was very well taken care of, it felt like a true, lovely bed and breakfast. I looked forward to the breakfast every morning! Julie noticed that I always ate by myself without my husband (not a morning person) and she gave me another plate! Julie was a wonderful host and Cate was also so helpful. It was also in the heart of Bar Harbor so we just walked everywhere. I would totally go here again.

We loved our stay at The Hearthside Inn. We arrived and there was tea and freshly baked goodies waiting for us. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The hostess made arrangements for our breakfast to be ready early for us. It was delicious! We had an attic room.. we highly recommend this charming Bed and Breakfast!

A lovely B&B. We had a super late check in due to a series of unfortunate events, and they were super accommodating. Lovely atmosphere, right downtown, like the shortest walk ever, and a delicious breakfast. 10/10 will stay again.

Never been is B&B before.. always in a traditional hotel.. This was AMAZING! The moment we park to the moment we leave. Cathrine and Julia were beyond and above expectations. Two incredible young ladies hosting a beautiful place. The house have all the vintage character, our room(5) was so cozy, inviting, comfortable bed..whole house have an incredible vibe. Feels like home. Julia provided to us a delicious breakfast in a amazing presentation. Excellent coffee (blueberry cobbler) Everything is wonderful about this place. We spend just one night..could not stay longer.. but we’re already planning our next trip. We really want stay longer. It’s relaxing and peaceful.

Very nice, well situated with lots of goodies. The only minus is the number of tables for breakfast which may cause delay to start the day..

A very comfortable room with a very comfortable bed. Juliana greeted us with exceptional friendliness and their breakfasts were personally cooked to order. Lovely place to stay.

We really enjoyed the location and the breakfast. The breakfasts were delicious, and the host was very accommodating. For example, while we don't have allergies to food, or die hard dietary restrictions, others at the time did, and they made special versions of the meal offerings for those guests. That's a lot of effort. Bed was comfortable as well!

Pros: - Great location. Right in the middle of downtown but on a very quiet street - Staff members were the best. It felt as if I was a guest in their own home. - The room I stayed in was very clean and comfortable and looked recently renovated. - The inn has a cozy character to it. It doesn't feel like a hotel. Cons: - Didn't experience anything negative

What an incredible find, that I absolutely loved! Beautiful B & B about 2 blocks from Bar Harbor. The b & b was very clean! The room was very homey and comfortable. The Hearthside is a Victorian era home so it has that charm, But is updated to meet all your needs. I adore the host Juliana and her assistant, they are phenomenal hosts and truly took my stay to heart. The breakfasts were phenomenal! On Saturday I had the frittata and it was incredible! I have no issues in recommending hearthside, I can’t wait to go back!

We stayed for 3 days as a last minute getaway. The property and staff service were exceptional. We’re looking forward to returning!

Unique was all the homemade baked goods provided for us afternoons/evenings. The breakfast was gourmet, different every day. Juliana was wonderful and made us feel like family. The beautiful old home offered 9 rooms, all excellent and comfortable. Location was a block off Main Street and ocean, where everything was walkable.

Loved everything about this property! Location is amazing. Completely walkable to everything in town even with the colder weather in late November. The service was great - we even got upgraded to a nicer room since it was empty for that weekend! The food options for breakfast and tea time were great. Casserole, waffles, fruit, cookies, muffins, a mousse dish - more than I would’ve ever expected. Room was perfectly clean and beautifully decorated. We had complete control of the heat which was great. Only downside was that the heater was only in the room and there was not one in the bathroom so that got a little cold due to the 30 degree weather outside but otherwise was the perfect stay.

The staff were grest and super accommodating, it's perfectly located within walking distance of everything including a gas station with electric car charging capabilities if you need it. Breakfast was amazing too.
