Amazing customer service.

Cozy little hotel that is close to everything in La Jolla. Staff is super friendly and hotel was nice and clean.

We loved the easy access to everything in La Jolla. It was decently priced compared to other hotels in the area. Everyone was polite and helpful. The bar upstairs had delicious Margaritas but a little pricey. As a heads up for others, your options if you have a car are valet or find parking on the street which can be difficult since it's so busy. Also, there isnt irons in the room only hand steamers but we did ask the front desk and they let us borrow one. Rooms are small but it worked for us since we were in and out mostly. Thank you Cormorant Staff! We appreciated you and enjoyed our stay!

Hotel was great. Balcony had a view of the ocean. Close to the ocean and restaurants. Great area to explore walking. The only issue is that room 307 is below rooftop restaurant. As a result, late into the evening and early in the morning, we could hear loud noises of chairs or tables being moved. That was the big disappointment other than that hotel was great.

Superior location. Walkable to great restaurants and shopping. La Jolla cove view was amazing. Only had one bag so walking up stairs with my bag was awkward but not insurmountable. Exceeding loud restaurant above my room heard chairs and tables being dragged across ceiling quite late. Hotel provides ear plugs for this which allowed me to sleep peacefully even with all the noise. Best bed and bedding. Cozy and clean room. Loves the nespresso machine!

This hotel is lovely and perfectly located. The bed is super comfortable and the staff is very accommodating. You are basically steps from the water and there are so many shops and restaurants nearby. Next time we are in La Jolla, we will definitely stay at The Cormorant.

Molt smell in the room , dark , very tiny window , uncomfortable pillows . Overpriced overall !

I loved this little quaint hotel, it was easy walking access to all areas in the cove.

Room is next to a public restroom and ice machine. Strangers lined up by your hotel room door. (Restaurant has a public restroom in the hallway in between their rooms) Garbage and recycling also below the room, incredibly noisy. Heard every neighbors “doings” too. Manager said she would follow up with us regarding our concerns…we heard nothing. Didn’t sleep, not even a wink.

Centralized location in La Jolla, super clean and modern with great views. I am a local and would go again.

I have a different idea on what s Boutique hotel is. Definitely this is not one of them

I need to replace where me and my pet could stay the night. This place is located right across from La Jolla Cove right in the middle of all the shops, and the hustle and bustle. My room had a balcony that gave me a beautiful view of the ocean. The room was nice but extremely tight. The bed I found uncomfortable. It was either memory foam, or some sort of sinky material. The pillows also were very squishy. The effect was like being stuck in quicksand and very very hot. I would’ve preferred a much firmer mattress. But you have a nice restaurant with a view on the roof. They may allow pets.

This is such a quaint hotel. We loved the view from our balcony so close to the ocean and seal beach. Great restaurants in all directions. I would def recommend this boutique hotel.

Amazing! I went alone to visit family and I was able to navigate the area on my own with no problem. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately I had to leave two days before and the hotel manager was extremely helpful and understanding. I will return and I recommend!

I really liked hotel location - right across the beach, walkable everywhere day and night ( felt very safe, the feeling I forgot leaving in LA). Bed was very comfortable, Nespresso machine was a huge plus for me as I am a fan of the brand. I wish breakfast will be included, but there is a lot of options near by. I highly recommend to go to Nine-Ten restaurant at Colonial hotel within 5 min walk, it is superb. All this perks come though with some limitations:) If you are looking for a quiet place, the property might not work for you . There is very loud place across the street that plays loud music till 1:30 am . When we arrived we paid for upgrade for balcony and now I regret it, as we only paid for sleepless night. Nothing helped- ear plugs, complaining to front desk. I actually asked to refund my upgrade, since to brought us so many trouble, but the manager never reached out to me. So if you need peace, just ask for room not looking the street. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay.

Cool property. Rooms are smallish, but well designed. Balconies over looking the street can be a little noisy, but not terribly so. Great for the view and ppl watching. The roof top restaurant/bar offers great views, but the wait staff can’t make change? If I’m paying a $39 tab w/a $100 bill, the staff should be able to make change. The location is great.

If you looking for a beach to walk on, this is not the place for you. There is a walkway which overlooks rocks and water. Also a good spot for seeing the sea lions. However, advertising as “steps to the beach” is not true, as there is maybe 20 yards of sand right by the sea lions. Would not recommend.

Rooms are adequate; clean, comfortable & good location

The hotel is quite new and nicely decorated for a small hotel room. There is NO ELEVATOR! I was traveling alone with one small suitcase, so it wasn’t an issue for me, but if I had a larger suitcase, children, or disabled or older…this would not have been at all acceptable. The fact there is only stair access and it was not listed in the description isn’t acceptable.
